Broke my favorite club... how do I fix it?

Well I broke my 7 wood last time I played . It was a used club I got in a set off ebay. It is a Callaway ERC 7 Wood with a replacement shaft. As far as I can tell the glue just wore off and the head came flying off... Can anyone suggest the best way to go about fixing this? Is it easy to do it yourself, or should I send it in somehwere? The head is fine, and although the shaft is a bit worn, it looks like it would be fine with some more glue. Thanks in advance for any help.

forgot to add a side note... I am in Nantucket for the rest of the summer and there are no golf shops here.. its an island if you are not aware.

I do it all the time; epoxy.
First off, make sure that the shaft has gone completely out of the hosel and no part of the shaft is still stuck inside the hosel. If the shaft was broken inside the hosel this would be a fuss as trying to get out the broken part is a very tough job. If the shaft is all intact and no part of it is broken inside the hosel, then you're ready to go.

Just go to any hardware store and ask for some epoxy. The type that comes in two seperate tubes and you have to mix them yourself. Mix some on a surface and use a rod or a straw or an old pencil to put some glue inside the head's hosel. Don't put too much though as it will seep out when you put the shaft.

Put some glue on the shaft's tip as well then insert the shaft into the hosel and let it dry for 24 hours. It usually is ready just a couple of hours after glueing but just to make sure. Happy playing.

That club is a bore through style and as such I don't recommend doing it yourself as you will have a plug at the bottom and some additional difficulty given the style of the club.

I would recommend giving Callaway a call. I have been told that Callaway's support is amoungst the best in the biz. They may or may not be able to repair it, but that is the best place to start.

In my bag:

some golf clubs

a few golf balls

a bag of tee's some already broken the rest soon to be

a snickers wrapper (if you have seen me play, you would know you are not going anywhere for a while)

and an empty bottle of water

thanks for the replies... I think Ill just go with epoxy for now, although elmers glue sounds tempting.. moron. If that doesn't work I'll call up Callaway.. thanks again.
