doubt it. guy is a clown, i heard there was an open invitation for him to compete in the long drive event in mesquite, nv.. I guess the invitation has been publicly there for a few years and he has never once went to it. i'm sure that would tell you something about his abilities.

I'm not looking it up, but I thought Mike Austin held the long drive record. Or is he the guy who drove a par-5 in a Senior Open?

He did (does???) hold the record for 458 yards of CARRY in 1993??? Sounds a bit made up. according to Jack Hamm's press pacakge "he has never been outdriven" (of course neither has my wife - who has never golfed)

The Record long drive is 539 yards by Scott Smith.

Guinness Records has the longest drive in a competition as 515 yards by 64 year old Mike Austin in 1974 of the US National Seniors Open with a 43.5" steel shafted persimmon wood driver and balata ball

We all know his products are crap. But does he really hold world records for long drive? Did they really clock his club head speed at 162?

He is 100% legit. And his products aren't crap. They are the REAL DEAL.

Im waiting to see what he'll come up with next. Ive actually been to his website and he has full sets of clubs so Im guessing his irons will be the next thing he tries to sell on tv. And of course, they'll go longer and straighter than you could ever imagine. With the new hammer x driver I think he may have outdone himself with outlandishness. Kinda wondering if those longball golf balls are legal, his company makes those too. Ive seen illegal golf balls on ebay called anger management balls. I almost bought some once to see if they really do go farther but Id like to get more distance the legit way.

Jack Hamm learned the secret to golf and long-driving during a visionquest. As a 16 year-old boy, Jack traveled to the darkest reaches of Asia, where he sought truth, purpose, and the answer to one question: how do you hit a golf ball 500 yards. His journey took him to the Himalayas, where he engaged in a death-match with a 200 year old Yeti. After Jack defeated the Yeti with a rear naked choke, the Dali Lama gave him a ring of power, and told him to seek out the Shao Lin monks for training. It is during his time learning the Shao Lin way that Jack got a glimpse of the secret to power. His Master, Wong Drive, teed up a ball and struck a shot 200, maybe 210 with an 9 iron. He told Jack he must focus his qi, or "chi", and breathe through his eyes to focus his power on the ball. Jack, now able to breathe through his eyes and hold that breath for 5 minutes, traveled back to the US to show the world his long-driving skills. He saves us the trip to Asia by making fantastic products like the Hammer driver and Longball golf balls available for purchase. Jack holds numerous long drive records, can reverse dunk an 11 foot basketball goal, run a 4.0 40 yard dash, bench press 450, is fluent in German, Spanish, Zulu, and 5 Chinese dialects, and during the full moon can levitate...

    • I did not realize that, I was thinking a more traditional golf club.
    • Thanks for the feedback. @StuM, we are a "club without real estate" so no facilities or pro. We have a membership of around 185 players and we only play together as a group at our tournaments, which are held at public access courses. A group of us setup the tournaments, collect the money and dole out the prizes.
    • In general, granting free relief anywhere on the course isn't recommended.  Similarly, when marking GUR, the VSGA and MAPGA generally don't mark areas that are well away from the intended playing lines, no matter how poor the conditions.  If you hit it far enough offline, you don't necessarily deserve free relief.  And you don't have to damage clubs, take unplayable relief, take the stroke, and drop the ball in a better spot.
    • If it's not broken don't fix it. If you want to add grooves to it just because of looks that's your choice of course. Grooves are cut into putter faces to reduce skid, the roll faced putter is designed to do the same thing. I'm no expert but it seems counter productive to add grooves to the roll face. Maybe you can have it sand-blasted or something to clean up the face. Take a look at Tigers putter, its beat to hell but he still uses it.
    • I get trying to limit relief to the fairway, but how many roots do you typically find in the fairway? Our local rule allows for relief from roots & rocks anywhere on the course (that is in play). My home course has quite a few 100 year old oaks that separate the fairways. Lift and move the ball no closer to the hole. None of us want to damage clubs.
