Any of them.

The Masters because you have access to Augusta for life. Plus I look good in green.

At the end of the day winning a major is more about beating the best competition in the world at that time. None are really more valuable than another imo. If you win a major you can say that you were the best golfer in the world that week.

Well, in a way yes, but in another way, no.

The Master's is certainly more prestigious than the PGA Championship.

Well, in a way yes, but in another way, no.

Perhaps, but the PGA Championship is a greater title to win because the field is stronger. In fact, the PGA Championship has the strongest field in all of golf. The winner of the PGA Championship is really the only golfer who can say he beat the best field in golf that year.

So, from a players perspective I think the PGA is more impressive. The Masters is more prestigious from a media and fan perspective since it's "exclusive" old elites, etc. But the winner of the Masters didn't beat a field as strong as the PGA Championship. Prestige is really nothing more than ego. A lot of humans get caught up in that kind of thing for whatever reason. But really, the strength of a title should be measured by the field. The PGA Championship is probably my favorite tournament for this reason.

Well, the Masters is top for me.

But, if I had the opportunity to win any major in any fashion I so choose, I think it would be awesome to become a club pro, win the PGA Club Professional Championship, get into the PGA Championship via this route, and win that in the same year.

How is the PGA Championship field the strongest field of the majors? I think that is 100% False. You have like 15 club professionals in the field...Can you explain HOW it's the strongest field of any major?

It's universally known this the strongest field every year. I can explain it or you can easily research it using Google. Why do you think it's 100% false? That has absolutly no foundation.

The PGA Championship has 100 or the top 101 ranked golfers in it this year. No other tournament can say that, US Open: regional qualifiers. This is 50% of the field. Masters: Tons of amateurs and past winners who have no business playing. British: 55 spots for worldwide qualifiers...basically amateurs. Really, you could argue TPC is the strongest field in golf. That and the PGA are the 2 best tournaments in terms of competition. They don't have the "prestige" because ignorant people who have 100% opinions on things they know about don't understand why these tournaments are so elite. *cough* ego *cough*!!! And how about this gem: “It’s the best field we play against. You know if you win this championship, you’ve beaten the best field in all of golf,’’ -Tiger Woods. I think he's a pretty good authority. Here's a decent link as well: http://www.pgatour.com/2009/r/08/10/...pga/index.html

Oh, ok. From what I've understood in the past it was the weakest field of all the major championships (I've also heard it was the smallest field, which I'm not sure there is truth too either?)...

Oh, ok. From what I've understood in the past it was the weakest field of all the major championships (I've also heard it was the smallest field, which I'm not sure there is truth too either?)...

The Masters is far and away the smallest field with under 100 entries. It's supposed to be "elite" but it's all marketing and false perception. Yeah, the very top ranked of the world and recent tour victors compete. But so do a ton of old farts and amateurs with no chance. So the Masters becomes the easiest to win. It's a lot of hype...it isn't even that old. The PGA has a lot of years on it. But rich old men rule the joint and create a prestige and elitism that we salivate over in this consumption crazed world.

Everybody dreams of being "in" with the elites of the world, as if that's a wholesome or quality goal to thrive for in life. I'd just like to have a pass to play Augusta forever, lol. I don't know why anyone would think the PGA had the weakest field when it's clearly the opposite. It's easily the most enjoyable tournament to watch, imo. I think to the uninitiated and naive the Masters is so great. I know it was for me. But once I begun to understand the game and such I realized the Masters was more about marketing and such. The Masters becomes the least important major no matter how much I hate to admit it when you take everything into consideration.
