I could care less if people use new technology such as gps and range finders as long as they don't slow down the pace of play. And I don't have any evidence or believe that such equipment does slow down play.
Will I ever use that stuff, no. I can't help but think of Rodney Dangerfield in Caddyshack when I see someone pull out one of those doo-hickies.

Plus, I am pretty sure that such equipment is deemed illegal according to the USGA and is not permissible for any amateur competition. I don't think we will be seeing High School teams and Colleges players using them any time soon.
I don't currently compete in any tournaments, but I always carry 14 conforming clubs; I would never accept a prize which would ruin my amateur status, and I always play by the rules. Now my cousin, who beat me by two strokes yesterday, with 15 clubs in his bag, he is a different story.
