i just bought a ping g15 9* driver. it has the stiff stock shaft in it. i really like the way the ball comes off the club, it is 15 to 20 yards farther than my old 983k but it flies a bit too high and fades slightly to the right. both very minor i know but i would like to hear some suggestions on some differnent shaft options that might lower my ball flight at least.

very picky i know but i'm a golfer.

What model of shaft?

Would you be interested in trading? I've got a Ping G5 w/ a Aldila NV stiff shaft. The kick point is high which causes too low of ball flight for my liking.

You might take a look at how high you're teeing the ball. I got my driver this winter, and had trouble with hitting it a little high, or actually popping it up.

Went on line to see how high to tee a jumbo-head driver, and found four conflicting models. The "half ball above" was just too high for me.

I now tee up with maybe a quarter-inch of the ball above the clubhead. The Callaway web site shows shots using this height.

Also, make sure you're not rocking the clubhead backward at address, and increasing the loft.

Focus, connect and follow through!

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

My dad's XLS is 10.5 degrees with a regular Aldila NV 65, and it's pretty nice. Has a really low ball flight, which is a plus if you hit it too high. My dad's been having trouble getting the ball in the air lately, but I think it's just that he's pulling up a bit before impact. If you hit it flush the ball flight of the club and shaft together is amazing. I've hit it 300 yards with his before. But, I'd say if you want a lower ball flight, try an NV.
