Is it a typical thing for someone to change the lie of only a couple clubs, say 3 and 4 iron, and leave the rest alone? B/c i was planing to bend my 3 and 4 1 degree flat.

Re: Lie bending for irons.

Hey man, whatever works. Obviously with your 'cap you know what you're doing...tour players get individual clubs tweaked all the time. Just one word of advice: take them to someone that KNOWS what they are doing. Since your irons are forged they should bend pretty easy, but I had a terrible experience with a club pro here that bent some Cleveland wedges (also forged) for me. Broke the 56* at the hosel and turned my 52* into an 8 iron. His response..."yeah, happens sometimes." Not acceptable. Moral to the story is ask around and make sure you find a person with some experience and commitment to doing it right.

Maybe they're just a degree out of whack from playing and need to be flatter just to get back to where they were. Anyway, you know what's best for your game.

Re: Lie bending for irons.

I have bent my i5's one degree flat, because I tend to hold my hands a little low....... and like the poster above said make sure you have someone do it , that knows what they are doing..... I have seen quite a few cast irons break if they need to be bent over 2 degrees, forged can usally be bent anywhere. It's best to really go through a fitting, with a certified fitter...

its probly because of your swing then. Long irons are hard to hit for everyone, and you are still probly adjusting to your new sticks. Give it some time.

Re: Lie bending for irons.

Went to local golf retailer and had all my irons checked on a lie board. All my irons had to be bent 2 degree upright. Find someone with a lie board and have them run you through your whole set. If there new clubs they should all have to be adjusted the same.
