If someone were to offer you a new driver, a new set of irons, a new wedge, or a new putter, what would you take?

def a new set of irons...they are the most costly item.

I would take a new set of irons. My driver is "old" but I think I would benefit more from a new set of irons.

I said irons. At the moment I'd actually probably go with a new putter, but thats only because I don't like mine that much and I love my irons.

But all things equal I'd definitely take irons over driver/putter/wedge.

The bag:

Driver: Taylormade R7 Limited (10.5*)

Irons - I can afford a new driver/putter if I need one but not a full set of decent irons :D

X-31 (Driver, 3 Wood, 3+4 Hybrids, 5-SW irons, Putter)
52 and 60 degree spin grind wedges
Balls: a big mixture of anything cheap, found, or given to me!

I take irons, but purely from an economic perspective. If needed, I could sell the irons and buy a new driver AND putter AND wedge and still have enough left over for a round of golf at a nice course and a few shots of tequila afterwards!

I said Driver solely b/c I just bought a complete set, I'm an amateur, he irons fit me fine for now, and the Ram G-Force driver is horrible. I have resorted to using my 3 wood.

If I had a bit more exp. and was looking at the big pick I'm with everyone else. Irons hands down.

9.5* Driver
3 Wood
21* 4 Hybrid
5-PW

Irons if I can just go ahead and sell them. If I had to keep it then I'd take the driver because I'm happy with my irons.

Totally - irons hold their value longer than drivers.

I said wedge because that's what I'd like right now. I love my driver, irons, and putter. I also love my 56 degree wedge, but I'd really like a 52 degree. I totally get the sell the irons part but I answered before I thought about it
