Want to give a gift of the Monster Hibore XLS Driver 10.5 Loft and don't know the difference between the two different standard shafts that are offered: one a 50 gram the other 65 gram. He's a low handicapper so I thought I'd get a stiff flex. Which of the two shafts should I select? Thank you.

If he has a fast swing speed or in good shape, I'd suggest the 65 gram. 50gr shaft is pretty light and unless he has a really slow tempo, I'd suggest the heaviers shaft.

Are you fairly accurate with your current driver?

The more weight, the easier to hit it straighter.

For me, I'd choose 65 cause I got a fast swing but I'm not accurate enough. Fairways are more of a problem for me than Swing speed.
