Post some images of the most interesting, famous, challenging or memorable holes close to home.

This is a picture of #4 at Banff Springs. This hole is also featured in the new Tiger Woods 10.

“Stanley Thompson’s legendary Devil’s Cauldron hole (the 4th) at Banff Springs in the Canadian Rockies”.

Kind of a fitting name for tonight.

Here's the course where I used to be a member and was club champion of in 2004. I'm in the process of trying to rejoin now that I'm back into the golfing scene. You can see several holes from the front nine in it.

Arrowhead GC South of Denver. Robert Trent Jones design and one of the most scenic courses in the world. It's about 20 minutes from my house. I played there twice this last season.

This is the par 4 #10:

And this is the par 3 #13 taken from the tee:

I'll try to find a photo but the first hole Morris Park country club is brutal.

470 flat yards into the prevailing wind and a tiny green, best starting hole in the state.

This hole looks NASTY. I'm assuming the white and red tees are to the left?

Lol this pic is from the whites.....the reds are down a hill to the left and kinda takes out some of the water. The blues are back up on another slope, 174yds. The blues can be redic though when its windy out. Lots of water to clear and they always tuck the pin about 10 ft from the lip of the bunker. For me from the whites I have stuck an 8 iron 19 inches from the hole of the white tees, but there was no wind. The tee boxes are elevated about 100 ft so you always have to club down.

Ya it is a very bright green, and it actually does look somewhat that bright when you drive in and see the whole course (it gets lit up by the sun really well) but I would imagine that picture has some sort of HDR on it or color levels updated to brighten it up.

I played Arrowhead ... amazing scenery. But for awe-inspiring scenery, Banff Springs takes the cake. Certainly one of my all-time top 10 loops. Heck, I wouldn't mind retiring to that area.

Trouble with Banff is that you can only play about 3 months out of the year. Arrowhead can be played year round some years, and generally at least 7-8 months. Colorado is tropical compared to Alberta...

That's for sure!! Even 1 hour away in Calgary the season is only 5 - 6 months long. I guess if you are fortunate enough to head south to a warmer climate throughout the winter then the off season doesn't seem all that bad.

One of the most memorable holes around here would be #10 at Hideaway Hills in Kresgeville, Pa. This is direct from their website, "Another signature type, spectacularly scenic par five. Three mountain ranges provide the backdrop for this glorious view. Driving through a chute of trees downward 161 feet adds much yardage to your shots. Downhill lies and downhill shots require careful planning. A birdie hole, honest."

Tee to green elevation -222ft.

Playing regularly again after a few years off. Started playing in 1999.
