dang i dont even know where to start (no offense), when you say grandma, your not joking, you really do swing super slow.

-you release your lag incredibly early
-your left arm bends quite a bit
-you have a close club face
-you swinging to much with your arms.
-you cast the club and come over the top of the plane, (come outside in)
-work on keeping your right arm closer to your body,( armpit more closed, elbow closer to hip on downswig)
-you have to much head movement(especially with driver), you also put your chin to much into your chest, lift it up some, that will help with the head movment some by itself.
-on your driver, you need to get your hands more down, you want the hanging down feeling.
-get more relaxed with the driver, you look really tensed up.
-you have alsmost a hitch with your driver swing.
-also your follow through looks restricted, try and keep that left arm straight as long as you can through your swing, and be sure your power is coming from your left side.

ill post more as i keep watching

I think it's actually good that you swing as slow as you do. As somebody who has some of the same issues as you, I can tell you that swinging faster or harder won't help things at all.

From what I can see you are definitely swinging outside-in. Your clubface is also probably quite open.

Check this video series out - I am finding it a helpfull guide as I work through my multiple swing issues.

it's a 7 part series. This link is to part 2. Part 1, for some reason, is not working right now but it was yesterday and I'm sure it will be back. From here you should be able to find the other parts as well.

What's your swing speed? It doesn't look like you're swinging nearly fast enough to need stiff shafted clubs. I know this has nothing to do with your swing, just an observation.

yea, this is something I quickly realized after watching myself, my distance with anything other than my driver has never been a problem, so i just assumed my shaft selection (which feels right) is waaaayy too stiff for a swing as slow as mine, i'm pretty sure it's below 90, I had no idea it was this slow until today after watching this video

I think if you start with not taking the club inside on the backswing and start the downswing with your lower body, this should help a lot.It will help you not to come over the top.A few tweaks and you will be fine.

yea, i'm finally starting to hit the club on NEAR the same spot when i'm hitting irons, hybrids and wedges but the mechanics of my swing are obviously way far from being consistent, I.E. hitting fat and thin shots randomly...

thanks for the tips you guys, one thing that i'm aware of is that i'm pretty much keeping my lower body static and i'm not quite sure of how to fix that ....
any tips on exactly what i'm supposed to do with my legs etc. ? I get what it looks like to see someone else do it but i'm just not sure what i's supposed to feel like, if that makes any sense.....

THANKS!

try to make it feel like your making your left butt check face the target on your backswing. but you dont want your knee going towards the ball when you do this, you want it more going towards your right knee. (try it once and you'll see what i mean.

Ok...look...this isn't as bad as everyone is making it out to be...to be honest the backwing motion is workable (changes needed at some point but workable for now). It want you to do two simple things and then video some practice swings as well as a few hitting a ball with a 7 iron again:

1. From the top push down into the ground by flexing your left leg and move your belt/tailbone (imagine a steel rod b/w your belt and tailbone and slide that rod at the target) forward. Go forward A LOT so that the weight hits your left leg and only feel like you are moving forward with the lower body. Done correctly you will start to feel/see a "K" on your right side coming down (left side of your body is the straight line...upper body will be the upper right of the "K" and right leg will be the lower portion of the "K"). 2. You have to do both of these pieces together...so in conjunction with #1 I want you to feel like you are standing up and extending your back (this will feel like jumping and that is why you are flexing the left leg and pushing it down into the ground...think cat getting ready to pounce). The sensation as a whole will be jumping/standing up into extension to raise your belt level up about 3 inches or so. Shoot some video of this and lets see what it looks like. I realize this is tough just reading it but do your best to do what I explain here. Dave

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

You should finish with your hips pointing to the target. rotation and turning is what I would work on along with getting a good foundations of the basic which includes the following:

1) proper grip
a) inportant aspect of your golf swing, watch the video below
2) posture, watch the video below
3) take away and swing plane
4) proper rotation, watch the video below
5) don't forget your short game for scoring, putting, chipping and pitching.
6) gramma swing will be transformed into Tiger's swing.

I have found these videos below to be helpful for me:

Stiff shafts shouldn't hurt anything. He might not get the distance he would with a regular shaft, but his control 'should' be better with a stiff shaft...
