My dad's 3 Wood has the same problem. He hits it just fine so I don't think it's that big of a deal, other than the fact it's annoying as heck.

Career Bests:

18 Holes--80 @ Carroll Meadows Golf Course(+9)

Home Course:

Is the shaft stamped "no warranty"? It will be very subtle.

I think it's a bit of the shaft that broke off and fell into the driver.

More than likely nothing more than hot melt in there. The shaft will need to be pulled to remove it and the swingweight may change a little if it in fact is hot melt rolling around in there. Not a big deal and it has happened with all brands from time to time.

Take a micro torch or heat gun and heat the sole up some. Keep the heat moving, then try and shake the head very deliberate 1 big shake at a time until you can't hear the piece. It should get caught in the hotmelt in the head. Let the head cool and it should be fine.

He said it was an R9.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

I'm betting it's hotmelt or a weld flake or something minor, don't panic. Try what I said, I've done it numerous times with 100% success rate. Can you give a link to who you bought it from or the seller's ID?

What you said should work only problem is if he ••••s up then he's got a broken R9

There's no way to mess it up. Micro torch(heat gun will work, but take a little longer) on the sole only, moving it around and back and forth for about 15 seconds then see what happens. It doesn't always work, but it has for Me.

Once again who did you purchase the club from on ebay, private seller or what?

I have had the "noise" before and have done this and it works fine. If you don't want to do it go to a golf shop and have them do it. They should not even charge you as it only takes a couple of minutes.

It probably just a piece of epoxy and the quick heat up will land the epoxy back in the hotmelt
