Hey, kinda bored right now and thought i would share the story behind my avitar. I know its New Years Eve but my Fiance is working and im at home with my Daughter and shes napping.

So My 3 buddys and i are at Gambler Ridge of 195 in New Jersey. We are on the 4th hole which is a Par 5 uphill. The green is 20 yards straight and about 10-15 yards left of the tee box of hole 5. I hit my 3rd shot on the green and my buddy im driving with in the cart hit his 3rd short left of the green. We go up the cart path and he gets out to hit his 4th shot and im sitting in the golf cart. For some odd reason maybe a sign from God, i get out of the cart and go grab my putter from the back of the cart insted of waiting till we drive up to the green together. Right as i walk to the back i hear CRACK. Scared the crap out of me. I jump back like holy sh**. I walk to the front of the cart and theres a hole right in the window right where i was sitting. Im looking around to see where it came from. Here a guy was on the 5th hole hit a screaming slice of the tee with his driver and it somehow found the cart like a laser guided missle. So i got out my cell phone and took a picture. When we returned the cart we told the guy and luckily none of us had to pay for the damages. This happened about 2 months ago. Was wondering if this has ever happened to any of you guys/girls. If so whats the story behind it.

I'm going to give you a little advice. There's a force in the universe that makes things happen. And all you have to do is get in touch with it, stop thinking, let things happen, and be the ball.

I'm a sports nut...therefore I'm DaSportsGuy.

What's that have to do with a chipmunk?

My avatar is just Sidney Crosby and his Stanley Cup ring. This has little to do with golf, so I'm moving it to the Grill Room.

My avatar is a sticker that was on the back of all of the University Of South Carolina football helmets two years ago. It is part of the University Alma-Mater, and it was in memory of several students who died in a house fire, a few of which I went to High School With. It was a really big deal where I'm from , not sure if any of you have heard of it though. Seeing as I am both a big University Of South Carolina fan, and soon to be student, and went to High School with a few that died in the house fire. That is the story of my Avatar. My avatar was actually made on photoshop by a nice member on here CG031 . Ty by the way. I wanted a Phil Mickelson avatar because obviously my name is right handed phil mickelson. I got that nickname because I get into trouble a lot, but get myself out of it so well that they called me righty (like lefty....yea...). It has many variations (righty, righty mickelson, right handed mick...etc...). I went with the more formal name right handed phil mickelson. It's a fitting nickname because I have a mickelson-worthy shot out of trouble almost every round haha...It's not good that I get into trouble every round....but it's good I get out of it

Mine is a design from one of my favorite Pearl Jam t-shirts that I bought when I took a trip to see them play at the Gorge Amphitheater in Washington. It's two surfboards crossed together, with the words Pearl Jam spelled inside the surfboards. I'm kinda surprised I haven't changed it all this time. Might have to swap it up sometime soon.

Mine is just a photo of my father-in-law when he was 3 years old. That's about 83 years ago. I just always liked the impish look in his eyes... he still has that gleam.

Paul Goydos during his unsponsered days at the Players in 2008. I just love that Long Beach hat he wore. A true grinder.

Mine is in support of the Montreal Canadiens who I have loved since the 70's when I was a kid. My favorite players were Ken Dryden, Larry Robinson, and Guy Lafluer. Still cheer for them through thick and thin, though there has been a whole lot more of the thin times than the good times over the last decade. Still a great franchise IMO though.
