I am looking to get a camcorder for swing analysis, and other stuff. I know that in one of the reviews on TST, it was recommended that you get one with 60 frames per second, but i think that's if it's a digital camera. If it's an HD video camcorder, I think 30 frames per second progressively scanned should be fine. Has anybody used the Flip ultra? it's only $149, or $199 depending on the memory included.

Any other suggestions would be welcome!

The standard "cheap" offering people seem to suggest on here seems to be the Kodak ZX1. 60fps at 720p video... and cheap too (in the UK it's about £74-80 in stores). hope that helps...

I purchased a Kodak Zx1 (it's the sport version of the Zi6) Purchased for under $90 (searched froogle.com and ebay). It has 60 FPS and is a quality video camcorder for the price. I was given the Insignia DS-DV1080 as a surprise Christmas gift (didn't ask for a digital camcorder), and the Zx1 is far superior at a cheaper price than the Insignia.

      Day 35, June 8. Before leaving for work this morning (yes, I'm posting this quite late relative to the practice), I spent 15 minutes practicing at home, into a net.  This time, it was primarily 9-iron (full swings), with some UW (full and half) and a few 6-iron.

      I'm liking this. Finally getting down hands in front of my trail leg pocket consistently at A6 with much better clubhead position (relatively not as tipped out). I can really pressure the shaft through impact with good face control  from this position and stay in balance. Won my first one v one march 5&4 against a 4 hcp who routinely drives it 35-40 yards past me in the men's club match play . Frustrated him with some solid iron play and air tight putting.

      Day 279 6-8  Worked on low point control skills work tonight. will be doing this for a few weeks. Tonight was just trying figure out how to get low point forward.  No ball.
