Hi All,

Has anyone tried these wedges yet? They're selling at gppgolf.com for $99.99 (3 wedges already). How do they feel? Any pros or cons?

Thanks

Re: Adams Golf Tom Watson 2010 Classic Wedge Set

Basically every time a high handicapper or someone on a tight budget asks on here what wedges they should get, an overwhelming vote goes to the Watson wedges. I've never tried them myself, but Adams makes solid clubs. I'd take a look.

Also, that's the normal price point for them, so don't think if you don't buy them right now they'll be $150 tomorrow.

I might get a set myself this year. As said....with my HC I couldn't tell the Diff. between those and my Vokey. You can still find the 09 Watson set for 99$. That's the set I'd get. Have seen some very good reveiws on them.

Hear all sorts of good things about the Adams set. I haven't tried them, myself.

If you're just looking for price point and 'I need some wedges' rather than that specific set -- I've played my Gigagolf SGS wedges from day one, and got them for about 25 bucks a pop custom-fitted (I need flat lies), they're excellent clubs far as my newb hands can tell.

Re: Adams Golf Tom Watson 2010 Classic Wedge Set

I have a single older Adams wedge that i'm happy enough with. Nothing terribly special, but it matched the feel of my old clubs pretty well. My main criterion was that I wasn't good enough to spend much on a wedge, and it's satisfied that need...

My scratch buddy has played this set for years...they're solid clubs.

You won't be sorry. There are "finer" clubs out there, but for the price these are really tough to beat. I have a '09 set and love 'em. They fit my game just fine.

no idea how they are but I just won a the SW on EBAY for 3.00$ + 10$ sh!!!!

you can get the SW consistently for less than 20$ including s/h on EBAY. They dotn have the PW, GW or LW, atleast for lefty's on there from what I can see.

They are great for my game, I can make them stop on the dime. The lob wedge can be used in bunkers and it gets ball out easily. The gap wedge is my go to club. My only wish is that they havve the gap wedge in a higher bounce, say 10 to 12. The rains have started here and some of the courses I play are so soft that i usually dig into them...but thats me not the wedges. Still the sw'S A 56-10 so thats going to get a lot more serious playtime.

Great clubs for the price I paid!
