I am in San Leandro CA for a work trip. I am wanting to play at the Marina inn on Friday. Anyone going then? Maybe have some spare clubs? I left mine at home, not knowing all the courses down here.

In San Leandro, you can play at Monarch Bay (Tony Lema is 18 holes, Marina course is 9 holes), or very close by at Metropolitan, or also close by at Alameda (Chuck Corica).

I was just checking GolfNow - there are some tee times available. I'd prefer to start around 10-11 if that works.

I have a set of spare clubs.

I am free Friday and was looking to play, I will message you with my contact info. Anyone else?

I was thinking the 9 hole. The Marina inn, can get me right in since I am staying here. Its only $10 to play in the evening. Not sure if thats too late for you or not. As of last night, they were pretty open.

I sent you a PM. Does the early start mean you are OK for playing 18? I am not too interested in the 9 hole actually. Tony Lema is $49, Alameda is $35, there's one tee time for $34 at metropolitan (otherwise $50). Times are available as of now, can't say about tomorrow. I hope you get out early - I'll be hitting SOME course between 11 and Noon. I'll stuff the spare bag of clubs in my truck just in case...

      Day 35, June 8. Before leaving for work this morning (yes, I'm posting this quite late relative to the practice), I spent 15 minutes practicing at home, into a net.  This time, it was primarily 9-iron (full swings), with some UW (full and half) and a few 6-iron.

      I'm liking this. Finally getting down hands in front of my trail leg pocket consistently at A6 with much better clubhead position (relatively not as tipped out). I can really pressure the shaft through impact with good face control  from this position and stay in balance. Won my first one v one march 5&4 against a 4 hcp who routinely drives it 35-40 yards past me in the men's club match play . Frustrated him with some solid iron play and air tight putting.

      Day 279 6-8  Worked on low point control skills work tonight. will be doing this for a few weeks. Tonight was just trying figure out how to get low point forward.  No ball.

      Day 8 (Jun 8 26) - Stayed the drill but added two additional irons (7i, 8i and 9i) - using Divot Board and hard foam balls - focused on tempo and purposed pause at the top….noticing how open the club is marking the board when I try to kill it and how much more square (and better distance) when I focus on these keys.
