Hi guys, I am in need for a new putter and was thinking of a scotty cameron and a nike method putter.
Which one would you buy i tried the method and the ball just rolls off the face so fast.

Which one would you buy

Sounds like you have already decided against the Nike....so there is your answer.

I would never recommend a specific putter to anyone simply because a putter is such an individual thing. You can't know if it's right for you unless you've tried it. Now, you've already tried the method and it seems like you're not too crazy about it. If you're not, I wouldn't recommend getting it, because you probably never will feel great with it.

This thread is dated but just now joining and reading.   Maybe I misunderstood the guys comment re: the Nike Method he tried but sounds like he was impressed with how fast the ball comes off the putter...Regardless, I totally agree with the comment "a putter is the most personalized club in the bag"  and it has to be right for YOU.    Having said that, I would strongly recommend the original Method putters.   The feel and weight distribution is superior to Cameron's..

Weight distribution...."superior"  what?

So...are face balanced putters "superior" to ones which aren't?  Of course not.

If you like a putter, great. Don't pretend it is "superior" to another.

At that level, they're all the same and it just sdepends on what you like personally.

Feel is totally personal too.

Why not just say that you like the Nike?

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

Putters are far far too personal to recommend...you really need to demo a whole range of putters in order to see which one fits your eye, feel, etc. It's about confidence at address...and results.

Dont be too quick to spend a fortune either ...I play with a guy who uses an old beat up non OEM brand putter that he's cut down to about 28 inches ...and when the flatstick is hot he's jaring everything....

moral of the story:

The best putter for you is the one that puts the ball in the hole with the least use...

good luck...when you encounter the one that's right for you-you will know it...

True story. Putters are all different and very personal. I had a powerbuilt $40 putter that i liked and rolled better than my Oddysey White Ice.

I know have a cameron del mar and sometimes i still think i like that powerbuilt better

    • Just want to share a quick update with everyone. I went to the range the week before last, even though I took it easy no significant pain occurred just a slight twinge when I swung my #4 hybrid. The most encouraging news was no soreness the next morning. However I think switching back to graphite shafts is definitely gonna happen, my mp15's were fitted with X shafts and having something lighter will help.
