Looking for new(er) irons to get back on track.

Had a set of DCI blacks for about 5 years. They were right for me at the time, but I started getting better and felt it was time to move up to the next level of clubs.

So I bought a set of Mizuno MP-60's. Nice clubs. Unfortunately, if I was having a swing consistency "off" day (everybody has them) these clubs killed me.

Basically, depending on the day, my consistent old DCI's would give me scores of 82-88, however the MP-60's were either great, or erratic, and could put me anywhere between 78 and 92.

So...I'm looking to get back to more consistent clubs. Maybe a more updated/advanced version of the DCI blacks or similar...?

I'm a big fan of eBay and prefer buying a nice USED set of clubs as opposed to spending hundreds of dollars more for a new set of clubs I may not be happy with anyway. I'm thinking the 2003-2008 year range...

I have a couple in mind (Titleist 804s, Mizuno MX 23, and Ping G2 or G5), but I'm curious to hear everybody elses thoughts...

Thanks in advance.

In my bag:
Driver-- PING G2 8.5 deg.
Hybrid-- PING G5 19 deg.
Irons 4-UW-- Ping i20
Wedges Vokey Sand 54, and Lob 60 Putter--:Maxfli: C3 Mallet Putter

Can't lose with the AP2's. I demoed the Ping i-15's and was really impressed with the forgiveness they offered along with the ability to work the ball. I've heard really good things about the Mizuno MX series of irons as well.
