I am in the market for a new putter and i noticed that Golfsmith has an amazing deal on the Mizuno Bettinardi putters. Has anybody had experience with these? I am headed to the store to check them out in a couple of hours, and if the wife doesn't throw a fit (i have lots of putters) then i may pull the trigger. Anyway any feedback on these would be appreciated. As a disclaimer i am not looking to drop a couple of hundred on a Scottie, they just don't fit my eye. I am looking specifically for input on these... http://www.golfsmith.com/products/MZ..._Carbon_Putter

Saddily yes... i played a few rounds with the "Yes" putter and i just don't like the head weight... and given the importance of "look" i just can't add lead tape to the head, it's a matter or principle.

Mmm... $100 for a milled putter. Will consider.

Bettinardi Putters and awesome!
I am not using the one you are looking at, but I just love my one. Ive tryed scottys and I think these are just as good if not better!
Putters are personal clubs, you rlly need to find one that you really like and that suits you, even if you have to drop big bucks on it, it will be worth it in the end.

I have a Bettnardi putter, and I love it. I have been playing it almost exclusively this season, even over the Cameron in my sig.

The feel on mine, a BHB5, is slightly crisper than my Scotty. If you look on Ebay you will see that a Bettnardi holds its value really well, and The Bee studio has alot of customizations you can send it in for, though not as many options as Titleist's shop, it is real close.

$100 is a steal for those putters. List price on those is as much as a Scotty, and you will easily pay that much for a used one on Ebay. I used to have a Bettinardi and its every bit as good as a Scotty.

Honestly I bought two of these putters a few years apart and each time it was a mistake. 2 years ago when they first came out, I asked for one(#3) as a birthday present. Didn't like it and traded it in,

When I saw this year I could get one for under $100 I decided to get a #7 to back up and use for practice instead of my wearing out my Cameron Napa. Same style, loft lie and swingweight (and a bad memory) I figured I couldn't go wrong. Well, all I can say is there is a reason they didn't catch on and are discounted so heavily.

These are great putters. what looks like an insert is actually just milled into the face and they make the feel awesome. Maybe the softest feeling putter I have felt.

And... I'm getting closer and closer to pulling the trigger on the putter... maybe as close as this weekend.

I dug up the link on Mizuno's website ( link ) ... which isn't linked (or any putters!) from the front page.

I also read this site's review ( link ) on the putters.

And I must be seriously lacking in reading comprehension, because I have no idea the difference between the BC1 and 2. Can anyone fill me in on this? Is one more suited to an Utley putting stroke, versus a Pelz stroke? Is it just how it looks? Forgiveness? Am I missing something entirely?

I went to Golfsmith yesterday evening, and the two BC1 and BC2 are extremely similar! the feel like the same weighting, the BC1 is more toe down, but by probably about 1/8 a turn, so not too much the BC2 is a 1/8 turn toe down. The feel of the two were almost identical, I preferred the BC2, because it would seem to get caught less in rough at the edge of the fringe... always had a preference for something that will provide relief in this situation. Overally they are very similar, so much so that I think it's a strange offering from Golfsmith, they could have offered 2 more different styles of the same line. Anyway It seems that Golfsmith has received a big shipment and in the store they aren't labled as a sale item, just some information.

First post - new to the site. Bettinardi and Mizuno "parted ways" and Bettinardi is no longer making putters for Mizuno. I subscribe to the Bettinardi newletter where it was announced Bettinardi is coming out with their own line of putters for the mass market (I think they're out - check the website). I suspect Golfsmith is clearing out their inventory. I've played around with the carbon series in the stores but much prefer their stainless steel ones. The previous generation to the carbon series was the "C" series and it was a milled stainless steel putter. Last time I checked (about a year ago), those were going for around $100 but I think you'd have a hard time finding one to test. Regardless, I think that $100 for the carbon putter is a steal though. Bettinardi's studio is here in the Chicago area and I went there to be custom fit for one of their putters. I wound up chosing one of their stainless steel ones. I just like the feel of the ball off the face with the putter but different stokes for different folks as they say. I can say I played Sun. and had ZERO three putts. Awesome putters IMHO.

Bettinardi putters are very good, a friend went to the states and got one for something like 200 dollars so 100 is a great deal!
