Ok, here's the deal, I've only been playing for approximately 7 months, have scored in the low 90's a few times and appear to idle around there. Now, I actually picked up the game, learning to strike my irons pretty good and fairly consistent, while I was horrible with a driver. So, I get rid of the driver and use a 13degree FW for a while. I just purchased a new driver (Callaway FT-IZ) and the past few rounds, I have been very consistent and long with my driver but my irons went to shit!!! I'm trying to figure out what I'm doing wrong, but am having some trouble. I wonder since I hit on the upswing with the driver and downswing with the irons, if it's messing me up mentally?

I do a nice steady paced swing with my driver and it launches far (250-270). I go to my irons and I don't know if I'm changing my swing and it's screwing me up or what. Should I have the same steady swing with my driver and irons, but obviously strike down on the irons? To sum it up, should my swing be the same for all clubs, as in tempo, takeaway, backswing, downswing and follow through?

Thanks and sorry if it's long and some what confusing, it's just very frustrating!

    • However, have you ever considered using small summer houses for such setups? They offer a great solution for creating dedicated practice areas, especially for an affluent audience looking to enhance their outdoor living space.
    • I've played Bali Hai, Bear's Best and Painted Desert. I enjoyed Bali Hai the most--course was in great shape, friendly staff and got paired in a great group. Bear's Best greens were very fast, didn't hold the ball well (I normally have enough spin to stop the ball after 1-2 hops).  The sand was different on many holes. Some were even dark sand (recreation of holes from Hawaii). Unfortunately I was single and paired with a local "member" who only played the front 9.  We were stuck behind a slow 4-some who wouldn't let me through even when the local left. Painted Desert was decent, just a bit far from the Strip where we were staying.
