Well, unless your living in a house boat without a t.v., you know Tiger and Phil will be back this weekend. Who are you guys picking this week?

#3-Zach Johnson
RunnerUp- Paddy Harrington
Champion- Tiger Woods

Tiger has an early tee time tomorrow and I think he'll go low. I'm not a TW freak, so it pains me to say he'll win, but I think with the time off and his play during The Masters he's got some momentum coming in. I just want to see Zach play well, and I think Paddy will finally get going and finish strong. Cheers gents and lets have a good week of golf.

Besides the course and the nice position on the calendar, Quail Hollow has a reputation for being very accommodating to the players. The title sponsor (Wachovia, now Wells Fargo) really pulls out all the stops during the week; maybe even too much, as Wells Fargo has chosen to remain a shadow sponsor for the second straight year, presumably because it doesn't want to look bad in these days of anti-bank sentiment.

Quail Hollow is also considered to have one of the better pro-am days on tour. Charlotte is the home to a large number of active and retired athletes, and especially to figures in the world of auto racing. Most NASCAR teams are based in the Charlotte area, and the circuit traditionally spends the month of May close to home. So, the pros get to play alongside the likes of Dale Jarrett, Michael Jordan, and Peyton Manning instead of a bunch of local insurance salesmen.

It will be interesting to see if McIlroy has recovered from his recent mental beatings (I believe he is entered but am willing to be corrected).

Also, whether Paul Casey's back stands up (ditto the qualification above).

It will go to someone who hits it straight, controls their approaches and putts well. So for me, Zach Johnson is a good call.

Tiger - top 10
Phil - ditto
Westwood - top 5, after a slow start.

Phil will do very well this week, with The Masters barely over, he's on high. 2nd or 3rd
