Just rummaging through the catalogs of Tgw.com (the golf warehouse) their prices are ideal for me. I suddenly came across a Clevland CG14 Black Pearl wedge and it came out to $85.00 at any loft i want which is pretty much 56 degree. Any advice about this wedge or Clevland wedges overall? I hear they make great wedges. And as you might be able to see in my signature my bag is really diverse when it comes to irons and wedges (when i really want one sort of irons overall and one sort of wedges). I might actually buy this one. =)

BTW:
here is the link to the page of the wedge on tgw:

Cleveland wedges are the only wedges I can honestly say I will keep purchasing. I have tried several Titleist, Ping and Taylor Made options, but for me, the Cleveland's are it.

Just bought a 52* degree a couple of weeks ago. Great club. I like the feel a little better than my CG12 56*. The gel on the back is great. Can't go wrong with Cleveland products, period.

Love mine, both a 54 and 58* (2-dots=mid-bounce). The CG14's are supposedly a little bit more forgiving than the CG12's (i.e. hint of perimeter weighting and the gelback). I know for wedges that wouldn't seem to make a huge difference, but i certainly find the CG14's MUCH easier to play both with full swings and with pitches/chips than my older Cleveland 588 DSG's.

Driver: Cleveland Classic 270, 10.5*
Fairway Woods: Adams Speedline LP (3 & 5)

Wedges: Cleveland CG15 DSG 52* & 58* +/- 56* Niblick

have you considered Scratch Wedges?
you can custom order one from the ferrul, initial stamping, custom colors etc.. for $99 for the 8620 series
suppose to be a traditionsl shape like the old 588 series Cleveland

these are definatly my next wedges

site is: http://www.scratchgolf.com/wedges/

check em out
they basically designed all their new stuff around Ryan Moore
also just signed Kristie Kerr

blah blah blah . . . .just signed Kristie Kerr

I'm in. Where are we going? Seriously though, there are so many good wedges out now. I also find the older Clevelands more appealing.

Dude, why waste $85 on one wedge, when you can have 3?

There's a bunch of people on another thread that are raving about clone clubs. You should check out the Turbo Power CZ1400 Wedge (Cleveland CG14 Clone), only $25 - you can get 3 of these bad boys for less than one real Cleveland!

I switched to CG14 last year when they first went on sale. I like them a lot. I've got a gap wedge and sand wedge; medium (2 dot) bounce on both since I play in varying conditions. They are very forgiving and have worked great for all sorts of green side chips/pitches. My only complaint is that for whatever reason I do not hit my distance as consistently on full swings as I do with my irons - even when I think I struck it well. Sometimes I end up about 20 yards short. But it's quite possible I didn't strike it well and the gelback took away my feedback. To compensate I've been laying up to my PW which I'm more consistent with in my full swing. I'm fine with this trade-off since I love these wedges inside 50 yards. I have not tried the CG15's.

Great suggestion, however i do not like the idea of clones. I wana play golf with the purest kind of club possible. Not its clone. thank you though.

I love my Cleveland wedges (CG14 black pearls). The best new club purchase I have ever made.

I saw that someone mentioned clones. I don't know if they are clones but Pinemeadow has a 64 and a 68 degree thati bought new on the cheap. They have been really fun. You do get your moneys worth with Cleveland though.
