Ping G5 10.5 with reg. ProLaunch - EXCELLENT driver, rarely missed the fairway and good distance. High trajectory with ProLaunch shaft

Tour Edge Exotics 10.5 Accuflex Evo Lite stiff - LONG and straight but needs good swing

Cleveland Launcher Comp - Hated it. Even after new Comp NT shaft. Swing just a tad too hard and you've got a big balooning slice

TM R580XD - excellent driver for the money, long and straight

I absolutely love my R7 quad, thought about the R7 425 but why change a good thing? I did enter a driving contest at a recent Nike demo and hit the sasquatch a ton, but I just dont like looking down at that clubhead, it reminded me a swinging a waffle iron! but when I connected, with the 'quatch it did feel good on impact.

I know what you mean about big 460 cc drivers. Especially the sasquatch. I didn't really dig it when I demo'd it in the simulator (I hate those things anyways), it didn't feel very hot and looking down on it was awkward. That being said, I have adjusted very easily to my Titleist 905R w/ Proforce V2 stiff shaft. I love the pear shaped head, it doesn't look massive but it does inspire confidence. I had a great drive with it today too. 320 yard par 4, about 50 yards from the green there are trees on both sides and that area of the fairway is only about 20 yards wide (at most). I crushed it straight through the opening and was about 20 yards from the green and was able to use my lob wedge to get on. I don't know if it was 320 yards to the flag or to the green but whatever I did, I absolutely crushed it. (FYI, I don't recollect ever hitting 300 yards, I would say my best has certainly been over 250, like in the 275-285 range but this one I killed. I would guess it was a good 290+. Needless to say, I'm happy. I know if something goes wrong, it was me, not my equipment.

I got to hit the cleveland HiBore yesterday and I was impressed. The only problem is really heavy closed setup, so I was drawing/hookin' the begeezes out of it... wonder if they've a "tour" version with square face.
Other than that - the 905R is a sweet stick once you match a shaft fitting your swing. I'm more happy with it than my prior 510tp, r7tp or r7 425 I used to have...

I'm a big fan of both the HiBore and the Launcher Comp, both were extremely long and a lot straighter for me than the other options out there. I hit the HiBore more consistenly than the Comp, so out with the old and in with the new. I've since added the Aldila NV65 shaft which has dropped the ball flight quite a bit as well as narrowed the shot dispersion even more. I agree with what a lot of people are saying about the SQ, looked goofy (and that's coming from a HiBore owner) and it felt dead at impact compared to most of the others. I enjoyed hitting the R5-N, but never really got on board the R7 train. Dunno why, just never really hit it all that well. Never really had much success with Titleist drivers either, although admittedly, the last driver I owned from them was a 975D with a steel shaft.

Cool thing about drivers right now, is that it seems like everyone is making great clubheads and it's really just a matter of finding the right one for you. hard to go wrong right now...

Ditto on the 905R. I had sudden inspiration to buy one Erik Barzeski had laying around his house when I put and idiot mark on it but its worked out well. I've been longer with it than my 905T ever was and that little extra forgiveness doesn't hurt either. I drove it past previous long drives on a couple of holes so far.

I think the UST ProForce V2 shaft is making a huge difference as well. I can feel the clubhead better with what is apparently a firmer tip section.

And what a good deal you got on it, too!

Rafi, to go back to what you were saying about the HiBore being closed, no, no "Pro" or "Tour" version is available. As I said in the review :
One thing the scooped-out or collapsed crown did was mask the HiBore's face angle, which appears quite closed at address. When you look hard at the angle of the face, it appears to be a good three to four degrees closed. While I understand the need to compensate for 95% of the golfers out there who slice the dickens out of the ball, I am not one of them. When asked about an open-faced or "Tour" version, Cleveland's Director of Media Relations Keith Patterson said "we wanted to address the needs of the vast majority of golfers, but a more open or Tour version may become available eventually if the need arises."

The need has apparently not yet arisen.

Erik J. Barzeski —  I knock a ball. It goes in a gopher hole. 🏌🏼‍♂️

I just love my r7 460. My main problem is inconsistency and this driver has me in the fairway more often than any other I've tried (oh and as a special bonus it goes farther too....SWEET).

I've been enjoying my cheap-o $99 jmax driver. I broke one already but they have a life time guarentee. I hit a couple 280+ the other day, the last one I had was cut down to 44" and I need to do the same with the new one. At 44" it is very accurate and forgiving.

Does anyone else think the 905R is too big and not that great. I found that the ball went straight more often, but I didn't get any extra distance, if anything I was a little shorter. I just bought a 905S on Ebay yesterday for $90. I'm hoping it will be better than my 905T, which is too high launch.

Had a Ping G2 Aldila R when they first came out, it was good but not as good as the HiBore ProForce v2 S I got when they first came out, got to hitting that very long, but it is closed at address, doesn't sound or feel great, and is not very workable.

Now finally have the R7 425 TP 9.5 and this is clearly a step above the HiBore. The sound, the feel, the workability, the consistency, everything is there you want in a driver. Set up inspires confidence, it feels good not to be swinging a 460 monster, don't really need the clubhead to be that big!

I would say that this driver will be in my bag for the forseeable future, but you never know what is around the bend. The Fujikura Rombax shaft is really good, there are no negatives to point out with this driver, and one can configure the weighting any which way.

If you have one of these drivers in your bag you better be able to hit it or else people will wonder why you spent so much . . . only to impress??? . . . but if you can drive the ball well it will be hard to find a better driver.

Have to modify my original list since I've got a new Ping Rapture...

Ping Rapture 9* with NVS stiff is the G5 on steroids! Straight and LONG (260--280 carry distance!) 20 yards beyond next best club.

Also tried these on the launch monitor...

Cleveland HiBore with 9.5* and stiff V2 shaft - was my next choice behind Rapture. A machine! Same distance, and almost no dispersion over and over and over. I felt like Iron Byron. But I needed the additional carry of the Ping.

R7 460 - I was all over the place with this and erratic distance from shot to shot. Couldn't find a loft, shaft or flex combo to make it work.
