how to upload a video?

Sorry mods if this is in the wrong place, but this is where i intend to upload my swing. My question is how, im a bit of a newb when it comes to formatting and editing video as such but happy to learn.

I took a video of my swing in the V1 iPhone app. I sent it to my email and it comes out in .mov format. What programs and what steps are required to get it on here?

I did search but nothing came up that was helpful. Thanks in advance.

This is an old thread. Just pasting the link in worked when this site was run with vBulletin.

Right now, you have to click the little video icon in the toolbar. Paste in the YouTube URL. Not the embed URL, just the plain old URL, like "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxxxxxxxxxx"

What happens if you don't want your video on YouTube, but just to appear on here. Is there another way?

  1. Put it on YouTube as unlisted.
  2. Put it on Vimeo.
  3. Put it in a .zip file and upload it as an attachment here.*

* Will not embed the video, obviously, and has size issues.

Neither the old site nor this one has a way to embed a movie you've uploaded as a movie to this site. That's why sites like YouTube and Vimeo exist.
