club fitting question

I hope this isn't too weird of a question, but i just got fitted for the first time a few weeks ago and traded in my old set of irons for a new set.. it was determined that for my irons i needed the lie adjusted 2 deg upright. my question is do i need to get my existing woods, and wedges adjusted with a 2 deg lie adjustment as well?

In my Bag:
Burner 460 Driver 10.5deg stiff
Burner #3 Fairway Wood 15 deg stiff
MP-68 Irons with Project X 5.5 Shafts & Golf Pride New Decade Multicompound Grips
Spin Milled 52.08, 56.11, 60.07 Wedges White Hot XG 2-Ball SRT Putter

I could be wrong, but I don't think woods can be adjusted for lie angle. You don't have to change your wedges, but it could be beneficial.

that makes sense.

i guess my follow up question to this is for my wedges. currently they have stock shafts and grips in them. i have read that you should try and keep your irons and wedges with the same shafts. so i have been reading how some people have been using the rifle spinner wedge shafts http://www.golfsmith.com/browse.php?...ll&lcode;=expps but other people have recommended that you go with in my case a project x shaft for the wedges to keep it the same as my irons, can anyone shed some light on this? thanks for the help
To OP,

i went to Golftec in Hollywood, was $99 and overall it was a good experience. got to use the mizuno shaft optimizer during my club fitting which was pretty cool. they were very friendly and knowledgable, let me come back and keep trying different heads and shafts too see which one worked the best for me and my swing.

Different shafts in wedges after PW is usually not a big deal, so of course when I bought irons last I got all the wedges to go with. It is a feel thing and you will need to practice with them a bit so that you are confident. Lies can usually be adjusted more upright if needed, it is easier with forged models. Many people because the stand more open and are more handsy with their wedges actually prefer them flatter than the rest of their irons.

For wedges, test them on a fitting board or impact board. The fitter will put impact tape on the sole of your club and have you hit some shots. It the main scuff mark is dead center, lie angle should be good as if. If scuff mark is toward heel or toe, you might benefit from a lie adjustment.

For woods, some models are more upright or flat than others. At least on driver, lie a lesser problem since you hit the driver off a tee.

they made hit off the board when i did my iron club fitting. i just didnt know if i needed to go through the process again for the wedges.

Wedges--definitely yes. As for the woods, generally (there are exceptions where the design incorporates a bendable hosel to allow for a couple of degrees' worth of adjustment) the lies cannot be adjusted, but it doesn't matter so much so long as your woods have a radius (i.e., round) sole. As long as the stock lie/setup basically suits your swing, a degree or too off of your optimal lie won't matter as much as with irons, where a couple of degrees can have surprisingly severe effects (I say this after just having gone through a re-fitting and having all of my irons bent 3° more upright from their prior lies--a persistent right push completely disappeared instantly).
