Put this ball in play for the first time this weekend, and it's now definitely going to be my primary ball from here on out. Great distance off the driver, good feel on the irons, and really felt great on/around the greens. It had maybe a tad less spin for me than the V1x, but not enough to be all that noticeable. Oh....and I LOVE the visibility of the color. May not be for everyone, but count me converted!

I think Srixon makes great golf balls. I play the z star yellow and the tri speeds. The Z star stops as good for me as a pro v1 and the yellow makes it much easier to see. Another plus is that its a few bucks less a dozen!

Yeah they are nice balls. I'd like to try them but I haven't bought a ball all summer since I hunt for them a bit. I am wild and I think the color is really functional.

I played a dozen z star yellows a few months back. For me, it was actually harder to spot the yellow ball.

They glow for me but I'm sure there are people that see colors different and might not pick them out as easily. I just started and didn't lose any and have lost a few of the white balls. As of last Wednesday, my golfing days are over for awhile.

I cant see yellow balls as well either. It is vintage though. I used to see lots of yellow and orange balls in play
in the 80s.

LOVE THEM!!! Although I have only tried the Z Star, not the Z Star X. The big thing I noticed was the durability. I was backing up iron shots to the pin all day, spinning chip shots, getting mid irons to hop and stop, etc. and at the end of the round you could not tell WHICH ball was the one I used for 36 holes and which ball were the two that were brand new and never put into play.

Go ahead, spot the ball that has been played for 36 holes! A Pro V would have shredded on the front 9.... no more of them for me. I've switched to Srixon Z Star.

here is the giveaway..... the ball on the top right was used for two rounds. The other two have not been hit at all. One small mark near the N, that's it?!?!?!?

Does anybody know of a cheaper ball (game is not good enough right now to play a tour ball) that has the same yellow look ?
Not looking for the yellow of the 1980's that looked painted on. prefer how the Srixon yellow looks.

I have always had a problem seeing the ball so I tried the zstar yellow and it is so much more visible and the ball performs just like you would expect a premium ball to. However, many people do make fun of it calling it a range ball and what not. In fact, the pro at my course was making fun of it right before we played junior club championship. I went on to win by several strokes using the yellow ball for the first time in a tournament.

the only cheaper yellow balls I've seen are Titleist PTS Roll and Pinncacle Gold FX series. Both may have been discontinued though.

Let people make fun of it, then go kick their ass with it!

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

I'm very close to taking one of my Yellow Srixons and drawing a thick black line on the ball - all the way around. Then beating people with it while they wonder what is going on...

Congrats on the win. Did the name callers stick around for some comebacks on your side?

Next time win with a pink one! lol

TopFlite XL Distance Yellow

I am not sure they are in production anymore but the WalMart up the street from me still has them @9.98 for 15. The Srixon yellow is a "richer" colour though, the TopFlites are more of a traditional Neon yellow.
