So I have noticed so far this year that when I am out golfing that I sweat excessively. Now granted it has been a pretty hot summer here but I have never sweat like this before. Even playing 9 holes and riding my clothes are completely soaked with sweat. I mean nasty to the point where you can probably wring them out. I can understand my shirt but my shorts get soaked also. Does anyone else have this problem?

Lately everytime I play.

I can see the sweat dripping off of my hat as I line up to hit, cant keep my non glove hand dry through a swing.

I was kind of relieved it rained yesterday for about 4-5 holes - made me feel a bit human

I have the same problem. The humidity in TN in summer is stifling, and it just draws the sweat out of you. I played a few rounds in Charleston, SC last week and it was even worse. My hat had absolutely no dry areas at all, and felt like it weighed 15 lbs. Just gotta keep fluids handy I suppose.

Side note: Gonna try a full brim (think: Gilligan) hat when I go out today. In SC, I wore a baseball cap to protect my shaved head from the sun. The one area it doesn't protect? Ears. The tops of my ears were so sunburned I could feel my heartbeat in them.

I usually wear a visor so maybe I should try a regular hat. I wonder if those drytech shirts or Under Armor shirts would help at all with this. I know that's what they are meant for.

I find it weird that some pros arent even sweating on the course and they are in long pants and in the pressure of a tournament. Its like in the 80's and they arent even breaking a sweat.

on the other hand there are pros who do, Tiger seems to sweat alot.

Have you gained weight recently? I used to sweat really bad and then I lost a bunch of weight, and it got better. Sadly, I've gained a bunch of weight back and now I sweat like a glass of ice water left out on the patio. I hit balls for two hours the other evening (almost dusk) and I was absolutely soaked.

If you are literally wringing the sweat out, no amount of dritech is going to help you out.

It's part of getting older and fatter it seems. I'm close to my mid-30's, too and I have the same problem. A lot of times I have to wipe beads of sweat off my glasses after a shot. Wearing a bucket hat helps a bit. I just make sure to bring a sweat towel and stay in the shade as much as I can. Grabbing a cup of ice water to head out on to the course with is part of my pre-round routine now, too.

No weight gain here. I work out 4 days a week. I have noticed that I have been sweating more at the gym also though.

If you are a drinker (alcohol), you will sweat WAY more in the heat and humidity. DAMHIKT!!

I am in love with Nike Dri-Fit shirts and the Climacool Adidas shirts. Night and day difference between them and what I used to wear. You'll still sweat, but the shirt wont stick to you, and it'll stay dry that way.

I've been a long distance runner for last two years, and noticed as my conditioning improved, my sweating was increasing. I went to doctor who told me that as you get more athletic your body becomes more efficient in cooling itself and causes you to sweat more to maintain a lower core temperture. I didn't buy it at first because when I was fat and out of shape I sweat alot, but after doing some research I found he was right. I wear a underarmour t-shirt under my underarmour golf tech shirt, does a good job wicking the sweat off my body.

Same here, I sweat just walking across a hot parking lot.

The Callaway Warbird glove and the Lamkin Crossline grips have alleviated some of the sweat problem for me. That and wiping off my grips and glove on my towel whenever possible.

Yup - I carry a pair of rain gloves (the black ones) and use them when it's really humid - they really come in handy keeping the grips from slipping.

I sweat a ton too. Just get the right clothes for you. I got some kinda stretchy new under-armour shorts and they are extremely comfortable and airy.
