I was playing with a mate last week, a 3 HCP, and noticed his grip was totally different to mine. I used a to have super strong grip but It's gone back to neutralish with both v's pointing to my right shoulder.

My mates grip, his left V pointed right and his right v pointed left.

Has anyone else tried this?

PS - look at this pic of Hogan's grip its similar http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_FehJeDCKQc...mag+grip-1.jpg

I have given up on trying to get too strong of a grip. If anything, I might have a slightly weaker grip..usually I look down and see 1 knuckle, maybe 1 1/2. I don't lay the grip in my palm..but I utilize 4 of my left hand fingers then the conventional "3". If fact, if I try to do the whole 3 finger grip in order to have a strong left hand...it seems no matter what I do I feel closed at address. I have to pop my left shoulder up and rotate my left arm inward in order to feel square, and it feels SO unnatural.

So I stick with what feels best.

Hmm, the picture of Hogan's got perspective. Got other picts?

I am being told by my Pro over and over again to have my right hand v point to my right shoulder - you won't be able to hinge the weak right hand properly.

my bro in law plays like that. He thinks that he has a weak grip overall and that everyone else is doing it wrong and a weak grip helps you hit a draw. What he doesn't realize is that his left hand is very strong. Hits a nice high draw though so who am I to say anything?
