I did not say that I wouldnt or already havent. My question was simple. I am curious what others are using and their opinions on their clubs. You are clearly posting for the sake of posting.

That's harsh, the fella was just giving u his advice. Anyways, haven't seen anyone who games the Superfast TP at my course or on anyone's signature so far.

Didn't mean to be harsh. My apologies to Golfro, just felt like it was an obvious post, but agree his message is accurate for everyone.

The TP Superfast is a long club. With that, control has a tendency to trump distance. There is a fair amount written from players who have cut this club back an inch or so and have experienced no loss in distance.

I was just curious what others are finding.

I spent about 6 years in the golf business early in my career and I am a huge advocate in the importance of club fitting- to Golfro's point.

Again, I apologize if my response was out of line.

I found the 46" stock length to be too long, I cut mine to 45" and hit it better. I had a Fubuki 73s in mine, nice driver but just didn't fall in love with it, so I recently sold it.

I had a SFTP with the RIP 70-X shaft. It was the stock 46" and it was way too long. I hit bombs with it but they were never straight, I sold it before I cut it down because I also think the Superfast was too light for my liking as well.

Kinda wish I had gotten it cut down and added some weight but it's too late now.

How do you like your SuperDeep by comparison?

I am a little confused in that the TM website says the SFTP is 45.5 with the stock shaft...did you have yours built to 46 when you had the RIP installed?

For the OP , I am thinking of gaming the SFTP myself and if I do I am going to want it at 44.5 inches...good luck with whatever you decide

But I have a question in that I want to keep the swingweight around D3-D4 (stock swingweight is D4)...my question is I have heard that the weight in the toe of the SFTP is for TM to be able to alter the swignweight for different shaft combos...has anyone else heard this???

    • Honestly, unless there's something about that rough there that makes it abnormally penal or a lost ball likely, this might be the play. I don't know how the mystrategy cone works, but per LSW, you don't use every shot for your shot zones. In that scatter plot, you have no balls in the bunker, and 1 in the penalty area. The median outcome seems to be a 50 yard pitch. Even if you aren't great from 50 yards, you're better off there than in a fairway bunker or the penalty area on the right of the fairway. It could also be a strategy you keep in your back pocket if you need to make up ground. Maybe this is a higher average score with driver, but better chance at a birdie. Maybe you are hitting your driver well and feel comfortable with letting one rip.  I get not wanting to wait and not wanting to endanger people on the tee, but in a tournament, I think I value playing for score more than waiting. I don't value that over hurting people, but you can always yell fore 😆 Only thing I would say is I'm not sure whether that cone is the best representation of the strategy (see my comment above about LSW's shot zones). To me, it looks like a 4 iron where you're aiming closer to the bunker might be the play. You have a lot of shots out to the right and only a few to the left. Obviously, I don't know where you are aiming (and this is a limitation of MyStrategy), but it seems like most of your 4 iron shots are right. You have 2 in the bunker but aiming a bit closer to the bunker won't bring more of your shots into the bunker. It does bring a few away from the penalty area on the right.  This could also depend on how severe the penalties are for missing the green. Do you need to be closer to avoid issues around the green?  It's not a bad strategy to hit 6 iron off the tee, be in the fairway, and have 150ish in. I'm probably overthinking this.

    • I do not follow amateur or Korn Ferry tour but this story might get me to pay attention. At age 15 to be as accomplished as he is makes me think we may be seeing a future star.  A story of him breaking out may help reinvigorate golf viewership. • Day 8: Indoor backswing work, mostly rehearsals of takeaway. Hit some balls wtih 6-iron working on adding flow, but not too Much which I tend to do, swaying too far away from target.
    • Day 55: 4/18/2024 Got to the range again today. Planned to do my priority pieces and then hit targets with irons. But after my priority pieces I hit a few drives and tugged them all hard left. .... Uh... oh boy.  So, I spent about a half hour trying to hit targets at the range with my driver.
