i guess from the lack of comments its obvious that the lie angle is standard since its directly in the middle,lol. Thought I would ask since I dont know much about fitting, although I just looked it up online and found info on it.

When you say thin board, do you mean like a thin piece of plywood?

just use something really thin that can take a strike from a golf club. the reason you dont want to use something really thick is because your feel wont be level with the ground then. You could use a really thin piece of plywood, as long as your feet are pretty much even with it

The picture looks perfect to me. Nice clubs. Good idea to put some tape on btw, I'll try that.
Forged Mizunos are pretty soft, hitting off mats all the time could do a number on the lie angle.

I'm thinking you might have two things crossed up. "Standard lie" is a certain angle of the club head in relation to the shaft. Greater angle = flat lie, and less angle (than standard) = upright lie. What you seem to be asking is "Is the lie of this club right for me?"...and it appears that it is. Helpful? or just shut up?

That looks real good...the mark seems to be aligned with the middle of the clubface which is ideal.

This is a standard lie 6 iron. Ive been tested before and it was around standard. Wanted to test my lie angle again so I hit off of a thin board and got this mark. This is standard lie right?

It appears to be either the wrong grind or you're doing a lot of flipping. Are you working mainting the flying wedge?

yea its more towards the middle instead of the leading edge. I dont really flip but I guess it does show me I could use a little more lag

Well I tried it again with a little more aggresive swing. First time I tried it I didnt want to break the board. This time I kind of leaned into it more and gave me a better mark.

Excellent!! In the real world (when hitting off grass) your blade will cut through the turf and the wear pattern will be more uniform.

PS. The lie angle seems perfect as well.
