didnt he only get like thumb surgery? Seems like you could recover from that pretty easy especially with todays doctors.

nah, he'll get his game back. his surgery took some time off his season and he's still getting his game back. come 2011, he'll be back.

One of the most overhyped players out there.

10 out of 14 cuts made in 2010 with a thumb injury, 17 out of 22 in 2009, 19 out of 22 in 2008, 20 out of 26 in 2007...numerous top 10 finished, 3 PGA tour wins in 3 years, 3rd finish at Augusta...

hmm overhyped? not quite. work ethic? what do you know about his work ethic? i know he had his kinks as a rookie but his results in the past few years shows that he's turned around quite a bit. my projection for AK? he won't be the next Tiger but he'll contend just fine.

Give the kid a break, he's 25 and just came off a thumb injury. I bet you had an incredible work ethic at that age too huh I suppose he was over-hyped when he spanked Sergio at Valhalla in singles play 5 & 4. Or when he set the birdie record at the Masters earlier this year and finished 3rd. The numbers speak for themselves.

The tv coverages of OneAsia Korea Open this week showed lots a fair but of Anthony Kim and he was playing awful. His whole games look completely uneasy and jittery from swing to put stroke. Not smooth and not good play much at all at 13 over.

A serious hand/wrist/thumb injury that required surgery has to be difficult for a golfer to recover from. He's young and should heal well. He has a great swing and loads of talent. He will mature and should be a consistent force on tour for another decade+.

I don't know dude. I think he was overexposed, and lacked the talent to do any real damage. I think the best hope for the future is McIlroy

He will get his game back if he works at it. If he doesn't work at it he might not get all the way back, which would be a shame.

Anthony Kim has said himself that he has a terrible work ethic, so he either needs to develop one, or he's going somewhere besides the PGA

There was a poll I saw posted on twitter, (yes I twitter.. I apologize beforehand.) where random PGA tour pros filled out a questionair. Questions like- Who do you see choking away a big lead.. or Who would you like to see miss a two footer for a win. The last question was who the next huge star for the tour would be. 75 percent answered- Anthony Kim. he was also the answer for the question of best PGA tour swing.

I believe some of the problems may come from the fact that his drives really rely on club control and feel, which is why he chokes down. I believe the thumb bothering him may be what's keeping him from being effective. Give him a year and he'll be back.

I have a feeling Kim might end up being the next Adam Scott, someone who seems to have all the talent in the world and a swing to match but just can't seem to reach their potential because they have other things they'd rather be doing than playing golf. I remember seeing an interview with Kim when he said he'd rather play basketball but for his lack of height, not exactly what you want to hear from someone who is supposed to be one of the 'next big things'. With the standard of the PGA Tour as it is today Kim isn't just going to be able to rely on his talent to get through. Only time will tell I guess.

One of the most overhyped players out there.

If you think that you have no idea. He would have 1 of the best swings on tour and is the best putter on tour.

He will be in the top 3 in the world soon. He will get his form back, he just needs to time for the thumb to heal.

AK seems like a much more fiery competitor than Adam Scott ever was.

I can't say I'm an AK fan, but I can't believe there's people here actually writing him off. Such a drastic over-reaction, it's actually laughable and goes a long way to show what some on this forum really know about the world of Golf, i.e. nothing. He's been out of the game for 6 months, had surgery and is only a few weeks back. You try taking that long away from Golf and see how your swing is. He's a solid professional, regardless of his 'work ethic', and trust me, he's in no danger of losing his card, ever. Far too talented for that. Rewind back to April when he won the Houston open, his 3rd tour win, and also put in a great final round at the Masters to give Phil a run for his money. At that point, most people would have rated him amongst the top 10 players in the World. Talk about short memories . In the last 30 years, only 5 people have won 3 times on tour by the age of 25. Ak is one of them. He'll be back as good as ever next year and I'd expect him to have a good career with a Major win or two.

A great shot is when you go for it and pull it off. A smart shot is when you don't have the guts to try it. ~ Phil Mickelson.
