I got a chance to hit this at Dick's sporting goods last night and WOW! I really liked it. I thought it was going to feel too light, but I had no problem maintaining my swing tempo and was swinging it 3 to 4 mph faster than my Ping G15. (94 up from 90). I wish I had an extra $380 sitting around. Anybody else hit one or own one? If so, what are your impressions?

Take any Driver with a light shaft (50-60 grams) and put on a Winn Lite grip and you have Ultralite Driver. I did this with my Mizuno MX-560 Driver.

Driver Head 200 grams
Shaft 50 grams
Winn Lite grip 25 grams
Ferrell,tape,etc 10 grams Max.

Total weight 285 grams If you Ping G15 has light shaft, just buy a Winn lite grip and you are in business!

I guess you're right. I liked the black matte finish look of the Adams and there's no ugly lime green on it like some of their others. Any truth to the benefits of the aerodynamic head design or just marketing fluff? But, hey, I fall in love with drivers like John Gruden falls in love with quarterbacks.

My driver shaft is X Stiff 75g by itself. IDK what I would do with this driver. I might feel like I can break it lol. I bet I get a serious MPH increase with the Adams tho. I am waiting for the Titleist 910's to come out and hopefully will have found a new driver by the end of the year. I like mine, but I have hit other drivers 25 yards further on average.

Awards, Achievements, and Accolades

Old thread but is anybody currently gaming these?

I saw one on clearance sale at my local shop for $199

Like the looks of it so I scoured the net last night and found a reputable seller had it for $79 shipped brand new sealed so I couldnt pass it up.

Especially with the positive reviews in the March issue of Golf Magazine.

I talked to Mitsubishi and they said the made for Adams Bassara (R flex) shaft is for swing speeds of 80-90 mph.

That fits me perfect as my average is about 85mph.  The only knock I could find on this driver was that it was not offered in a stiff flex.  But it seems Adams was going for the market such as myself to help improve distance with a light driver for players with controlled tempos and slower swings.

Can't wait to try it out.

Currently gaming either a Nickent 4dx (2008) or Callaway FT-IQ (2008).  Hopefully I see some distance gains over them with the newer technology.  Right now I only carry about 200 yds with those drivers.
