I have some questions about the setup of the MWT in these two different drivers. Can I add the 6g and 10g setup to the regular 460 driver (not the TP) and get the same results shown for the 460 TP?

My guess is that I cannot, the regular 460 only has two trajectories listed, neutral or draw using a 2g & 14g cartridges. The TP model has four trajectories, More Draw, Slight Draw, Slight Fade, More Fade but it doesnt have a neutral trajectory. (even though both drivers only have two MWT ports)

Do you think I can get a slight draw using the 6g & 10g weights in the correct positions that the 2g and 14g should be in for Draw on the regular 460?

I don't have the instruction booklet for the R7 460 MWT, if you happen to know of a place online to see this please help me out.

Also, can ANY wrench (ones that say for R5, Quad or TP & R7) be used on the cartridges for the R7 460? I need a wrench and keep seeing so many different descriptions that make it seem they are for a specific type of TaylorMade club i.e. R5, R7, Quad or TP.

Thanks in advance for any and all help

Raistlin, You can use any weight combination in the R7 460 wether it is the TP model or not. Just make sure the total weight remains the same to keep swing weight constant. For example, 14+2, 12+4, 8+8, etc. You can also use any wrench from any year or model to tighten the weights.

Raistlin,

To add to that, TM's non-TP stuff requires the largest weight in the toe and the lightest in the heel to get back to neutral weighting (so, 2-14 heel-toe). But the face will still be a little closed.

You can't make a non-TP driver toe-heavy. The furthest you can move the CG towards the toe is the center of the face.

    • Phillyk is very close by. Ok, I understand how the watch and tags are meant to be used, but I was just curious how it actually works. I can't really think of any other way than what I mentioned above. No worries. If it works it works. I'll probably pick one up. My co-worker mentioned a free app called 18 Birdies which offers similar services. However I personally do not like keeping my phone in my pocket while golfing, nor do I want to be clicking around on the phone while out on the course. I toss my phone in my bag and leave it there until I am done golfing. Tapping a club head to a watch seems wat more convenient.
    • Yes, but not always the case. IMHO, green speeds are a huge variable and can effect score variation from week to week or month to month significantly. Our own course that is running at about 8-9 depending on the week/day, can run up to 12 (no kidding) in peak months around certain event, and most like me score 3-4 shots higher on an average, missing a lot of 3-4 footers. There are any PCC adjustments that I am aware of. Have you every played their course? I am betting $20 you will find some answers if you haven't already.

    • I would recommend spending some time at the range and film your swing. You can post it in the Member Swings thread. At the range, you can figure out how to control the driver a bit more. We can offer some pointers once you post in the Member Swings section.
    • With the H4 or the watch, you tag the club before hitting by putting the tag next to the device. The tag is on the club butt end. After a round, you don’t really think about it too much. You just do it. I don’t know how far you are from @phillyk, but he may know an instructor in your area.
