Oregon Ducks are #1 in the BCS rankings for the first time ever. I remember sitting in Autzen Stadium years back and we were the only fans in Section 3. Oregon was getting destroyed and nobody was watching the game. Now, it is one of the craziest and loudest stadiums in the nation and the Ducks are one of the most entertaining college football teams in the land. Been amazing to see how far we have come and be fun to see how far we can go. Go Ducks!!!

I couldn't stop laugh'n when I saw 3 teams west of the rockies in the top 5 of the BCS. I bet it was all they could do to say that. They actually have to FINALLY admit that there are very good teams here in the west. Ha, ha, ha.

Just keep winning and they'll stay there, as long as they win out, they should make the BCS championship game and if Auburn wins out, thats who they will play, especially after beating Alabama. Oregon is an exciting team to watch.

At this point I don't see any college teams that can match up with the Ducks well. Being a U of U alumni it was all I could do to say that.

The move from Bellotti to Kelly is the best thing that has happened to Oregon. As an Oregonian, I've never seen the Ducks so capable as well as humble. There seems to be a huge spirit of responsibility and teamwork with the team, which is simply awesome to see in such a historically flashy program.

I'm a beaver fan at heart, but I'll gladly stand behind Oregon after December 4th.

I've been a decent fan of Oregon ever since the Joey Harrington days, and it's been nice seeing them make another run this season. That being said, I think the Beavers will get them in the Civil War game to end the season. It's always competitive, and it's one of the most underrated rivalries in college football. Oregon State will be able to score a lot of points on Oregon and vice versa. The Ducks always seem to have a lapse or two every season, and that's the one that stands out this year.

I'd love to see TCU, Utah, or Boise finally get their shot at a National Championship this year. It's bound to happen eventually, so why not this season?

Oregon had another impressive win today. TCU crushing Utah at Utah im sure will move them closer to the ducks in the BCS standings. But still, if Oregon and Auburn win out, im sure that will be the BCS championship game. Alabama losing today was a bit of a shocker and Im watching Texas get clobbered by Kansas State at the moment. Texas was way overrated to be ranked as high as they once were this season.

I hate to be the bear of bad news, but if Auburn wins out, they shouldnt have much trouble beating Oregon, TCU, or Boise. All are great teams, but nothing compares to the SEC.

Ask Alabama how they fared against Utah a couple years ago. The only loss they had going into that game was against the eventual National Champ Florida. When these smaller school get a month off to prepare for SEC and Big 12 schools, they can hang with them quite well. And if you have watched any Boise State or TCU games this season, you know there is plenty of talent to hang with an SEC team. Hopefully Alabama will take care of Auburn, so we can finally see one of the smaller schools on the stage they deserve.

If we don't get to play the "FEARED" SEC this year, Oregon plays LSU next year at a neutral sight. We did squeak one by Tennessee at Tennessee. One think I notice is those "SEC" teams really shy away from playing any serious opponents in the non conference schedule.

I agree with you on this. I wish Auburn would have played USC, or Ohio State, or Mizzou instead of Chattanooga State or who ever it was. The only reason they play these small schools is so the other school can collect a ton of money to get their asses kicked.

The SEC plays these games so they don't get beat by quality teams. Meanwhile, a Boise State and Utah get trashed for not playing tough teams. But, they will play anybody and anywhere. Seems like the SEC teams get a free pass when they schedule these silly opponents. Then we have to listen to how tough the SEC is. But, Oregon goes down to Tennessee and finds out the SEC isn't really that tough. We win by 30 after stinking it up for the 1st quarter. I guess playing Chattanooga State and Louisana - Monroe and Florida never leaving the state proves the SEC is so freaking awesome.

As of the Ducks, we are not afraid of any team or any conference. We have beaten Michigan when they were at the Top of the Big 10. We beat Oklahoma when they are at the top of the Big-12. We beat USC over and over when they are suppose to rule the universe. We still have games to play and win and we still can get beat. But, Oregon does not fear the SEC or any team in it. Come play us at Autzen anytime you want. We'll do a home and home with anybody. We may not win ever game. Boise State beat us, Ohio State beat us. But, we win our share and we do not hide from the tough games. Can the SEC teams say the same thing.

You are right, the SEC teams dont want to make their schedules too tough. I mean, the SEC as a conference has more quality teams than Boise's conference. Oregon is a great team, and put a whooping on Tennessee. Im just going off the fact that when an SEC wins the SEC Championship, and usually goes to the National Championship game, they are more than likely going to be favored. Look at what happened the last 3 SEC National Champ games? FL in 06, FL in 08, and Bama in 09. Plus, the Gators beat the crap out of Ohio State for their 06 Championship.

Im sure we could go on and on with this conversation becasue I can feel your passion for the Ducks, and Im pretty passionate myself about the SEC, even though Im a USF Bulls fan lol

LSU has played some tough teams the past few years, for example, a home & home with VA Tech recently, UNC, W. Virginia...and upcoming games with the aforementioned Oregon and TCU, just saying

Point made and accepted!!! However, we are better than LSU this year and we will be better than LSU next year when we meet in Dallas.

I'm not saying the #SEC isn't a very good conference they are. But, if you compare bowl records and conference matchups the past five years the SEC is not the best conference by record in either category. I don't think the Pac-10 is real strong this year. Stanford, Oregon and USC are very good but the rest of the league is down. But, for the past four or five years it has been as tough or tougher than the SEC. The Pac-10 has proven it in non-conference games and bowl games but only USC gets any recognition. Oregon is getting respect this year but we have to beat everybody by 30 and average 50 pts a game to earn that respect. It is a different standard than an LSU. And, way way different than a Florida or Alabama.

Oregon is a fraud... This is the same crap we heard last year... then they got pasted by Ohio State in the Rose Bowl. They could probably trade punches with Auburn but would get smacked around by Bama, Wisconsin, and LSU... not to mention Ohio State... again... because those teams can control the clock and pace of the game with something called defense.

We will see. At this point they are look'n pretty darn good and I expect them to get a bowl bid.

They would have done better last year but they were riddled with injuries.
