hybrid(wood type) or 5 wood

hi i am a high handicap and i have a the titleist 503H in 19° and 22°,mi iron set is 5-gw;i am interesting on a 16° hybrid ( maybe halo or hibore ) or a 5 wood; beacouse the wood i have is the original big bertha 2 wood, and i am not hit very well whit this wood.

please could you tell me what is the best, go for the hybrid or for the wood

You'd have to try some hybrids and woods out to see what you like. Some easy to hit hybrids include the TaylorMade Rescue Mid, which is pretty cheap on Ebay now. I had their 16 degree hybrid and hit it pretty well. But I ultimately ended up with a 5 wood (18 degree) and a 3 wood (13 degree). One thing to note is that the lower lofted hybrids (less than 17 degrees) are more difficult to hit, especially if you are a high handicapper.
