I can't believe that here in central Illinois that I have been able to play golf three days in a row with just a sweatshirt on and it's the week of Thanksgiving.
I gave up golf 4 years ago and just started back up about a month and a half ago and got my wife playing now. I figured we had started so late in the year that we would only get a few rounds in before it was too cold.
So this Thanksgiving I will be thankful for warmer than normal weather. I am thankful for many other things also but the weather is it right now.

I know what you mean. I've put my clubs away twice already this year only to get them back out and play again. It can stay this way all winter for all I care...but sadly I know it won't.

I'm a couple of counties away, and I played nine on Friday.

A co-worker suggested we keep our clubs in our car trunks until it actually snows. Big problem is with morning frost. Courses won't let you tee off until frost burns off - frozen grass blades shatter when you hit them with a club, leaving an ugly gouge for spring.

I played yesterday at Blue Needles and it sucked lol. Had 17-20 mph wind, then it started to mist, what happened to the 63 degree weather we were suppose to have yesterday? I think my clubs will be put up when it get to be around 40 or so, I dont mind the cold to much.

Not Illinois but NJ here and it was 60º and sunny today. The forecast for the next 10 doesn't look so promising but as a snowboarder, I'm glad to see it.

Waiting out the 2 feet of snow that just dropped on the course....

Quite the change yesterday to today. Figured I lost about 12 yards with my irons in one day. Still nice to be playing though!

im down a little south of you guys, i live around Salem, IL. It was very windy yesterday here too and played 9 today just before dark. Forecast doesnt look the best for Thanksgiving, sunny but a bit on the cold side. I want to go out Friday, Sat and Sunday. Ive got a friend who lives down around Carbondale, hopefully will be a little warmer down there.

I told the wife that we'll go shopping early but if it's not raining or snowing I'm going to hit the course on Friday. I love the fact that it hasn't snowed here yet.

Played at Stone Creek in Urbana on Sunday. Front nine were nice but back nine was windy. Still a great day with a decent score. Wind helps my hook. No one ever seemed to be behind us.

Its funny theres also a Stone Creek down south of Carbondale, two courses not all that far from each other with the same name. Might play down there this Saturday, its one of the courses with discount tee times on ezlinks.com, along with Crab Orchard and Franklin County Country Club in West Frankfort.

I think next year I will play Stone Creek, I just hate paying the price for it when there are other courses out there for a ton cheaper... Its probably one of the closer courses (10 minutes) but to expensive...

We had quite a bit a rain yesterday here in Springfield so even if I could brave the cooler temps I don't know how wet it will be. I am hoping for the best though.
