I am thinking of getting a new sand wedge and would like some input.
My current sand wedge is 56*, bounce ???.

What is the loft and bounce of your sand wedge?
What do you like/dislike about your sand wedge?

For me, my current sand wedge seems to dig-in more than I would like.

Thanks for your input.

I use an 8º bounce on my Vokey.

For your sand wedge you'll want a bounce that suits the type sand in the bunkers where you play.

Less bounce for firm tightly packed sand.

My sand wedge is 56*/ 14* of bounce I really have to hit the ball first on tight lies. It works well out of fluffy sand.

Mine is new and is likewise 56° / 14°. My previous had those specs when I had it, but I had the bounce measured when I was looking at new sand wedges and it had just about half disappeared. That's what I get for keeping a wedge in my bag for 30 months.

If you carry a lob wedge, I suggest carrying a high-bounce (14°) sand wedge unless the bunkers at your course are consistently the type where you need low bounce. I find the key advantage to high bounce isn't just out of the sand -- it's pitching off grass. One of the problems I used to have with my old setup was hitting long pitch shots with my old 47 or 51, each of which was relatively low bounce. When I got my current wedges, I have 9 and 10 degrees in my 47 and 52, and I've found pitching to be significantly easier since.

I'm a "sweeper" of my wedge, (little to no divot, so I have a really low bounce wedge (56* 6* bounce)

My CG12 is a 54/12.

My CG14 is a 54.12. Prior to that, I had a Callaway XForged which was 56.14; it doubled as a lob-type club for greenside.

Clubfitters suggest having at least one high-bounce wedge in the bag, often the SW.

My Sandwedge has 16* bounce. I don't normally use my SW out of the sand. However I find the bounce sufficient for the conditions that I play in during the season. The one thing I don't like about my wedge is that it rips the cover off the ball.

Thanks for all the input!

Sounds like I need to get a high bounce wedge, may be 60/14*.

I think Cleveland Golf is the only one I've seen offer a Lob Wedge with that much bounce.

CG15 model offers 14* bounce in several high-loft wedges:

56/10 Wilson Staff for about 12 years, now a 56/10 Vokey. It's versatile out of all different types of sand found here in the Midwest, and it opens up nicely for flop shots or pitches with a little more loft, rather than buying a 60.

Generally sand wedges are considered to be in the range of 54-58°. A 60° wedge is considered a lob wedge. Most people use a lower bounce on the 60°. What is your wedge setup currently?

I personally use anywhere from 10-14° of bounce.

What is the loft and bounce of your sand wedge?

I play a Vokey SM 58/08 oil can.

No Dislikes. What I do like is that it is suitable for use in hard and soft sand due to it's "medium" bounce and versatile grind.

I have PW (48 *), a gap wedge (52*), and a sand wedge (56*, bounce ??? it's been too long, but I know it is not more than 6*).

I am thinking getting 60*/10 or 14 bounce and use that for sand shots instead of the sand wedge. I'll just use sand wedge as a regular wedge when I am about 90 yds out. Currently that is when I use it.

58/10 and it works well from any kind of sand. You have to change your shot, of course, but it's a good all-purpose sand setup.
