One of the 12 Night episodes was focused on the "Staying Connected" swing philosophy. I tried it out today just based on what was in the episode and could see how it could work really well.

Anyone tried it? It seems to compliment SnT pretty well. I did find that I was shifting a small amount of weight to the right side, but for the most part I was still 55/45 on the left side on the backswing and 95/5 probably at finish.

cbrian, I am. But the elbows down thing is also in Ben Hogan's book, which is why the episode perked my interest. He really didn't say to do anything that Mr. Hogan himself didn't recommend.

Little shoulder rotation, restricted hip turn, arms off the body, upper center moving all over the place, etc etc. I would assume Hogan would disagree with all of that, but I know that S&T; doesn't agree with any of that.

See cbrian's post. Jimmy Ballard does NOT teach a Hogan swing...

I think Jimmy went to a different school altogether. The length of the bus he rode to get there has yet to be determined.
