So I've been noticing more and more lately that the right side of my body is basically completely taking over my downswing causing some erratic shots. It's getting very frustrating.

I was wondering what one can do to remedy this. Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Try "The Golf Swing And Its Master Key Explained", by Noel Thomas. It teaches a body powered swing with lead side control. I have been using it for over 2 years, so obviously it is the best instruction I have found for me.

So you're "hitting" more instead of "swinging?"

Without going into it too much, that's not really quite the same as what he's saying, and the whole "hitting vs. swinging" debate tends to be really, really long. A worthy topic for another thread, though.

I think I am "hitting" too, but as Iacas said, that's not what my issue is. My right side overpowers my left side giving me issues with getting onto my left side and keeping the proper angles. My misses are generally fat and thin shots caused by keeping my weight on the right side and flipping, because my right arm/wrist takes over.

I am COMPLETELY Right side dominant in all motor skills. My left side is nearly useless in terms of throwing and kicking. Naturally, that manifests itself into my golf game, and I have had similar issues to you. As far as the ability to get my weight left, the stack and tilt book and technique has been helpful. As far as keeping from flipping, I focus on keeping my right wrist bent instead of my left wrist flat, and it helps with maintaining the flying wedge. Hope that helps.

Your desire to change has to be greater than your desire to stay the same.
