After mowing my lawn that was 10 feet high from all the rain I made a trip out to the range. I started with my pw as usual and move through my irons down to my 5 iron.

With last weeks round in mind, I pulled out my driver. I focused on what felt like a 50% backswing. While I was hitting them better than before, something still felt off. I took a break, hit some more irons, then pulled out the driver again. I don't know what made me think to do this, but I did the "feel like there's a glove in your left armpit" move. That, coupled with my shorter backswing...WOW. I was hammering balls. Perfect low trajectory and long. The crack off the club face was nothing that I've ever done before. All this from what felt like a fraction of my previous driver swing. I think the changes I made forced me to really turn my shoulders back and through. The best part is it was repeatable. Also, I moved the ball back in my stance some.

I'm going to play 9 or go to the range again after work today.
