I would like to play fantasy golf this year and I'm looking for something free and simple.  I would like a game that I set up before a tournament and then its done.  I want minimal time involved.  I used to play Fairway Frenzy by SandBox through ESPN or SI.com a few years back.  I would like to find something similar now.

You don't have to, but you can and often it's the best way to get the most points.

I can't tell you how many times this strategy backfires for me. I'll switch out a guy who posted a 73 in round 1 for a guy on my bench who opened with a 67. The next day, the guy with the 73 plays aggressive and ends up shooting a 64 on Day 2, whereas the guy I just subbed in shoots a 73 because he's trying to protect his number or something. Either way, even for the pros its tough to go low two days in a row.

Sometimes subbing guys is the best way to go. Sometimes standing pat is the best way to go. Fantasy golf is definitely a chaotic game with very few legitimate trends one can rely on. Maybe I should start subbing guys out of my lineup after they go low, rather than the other way around....
