The new Bond was awesome. Good actor, good flick. Go see it.

Michelle Wie shouldn't be modeling. She might be the media's darling, but she's no model. I have nothing against her (except her hype), but aren't models supposed to be beautiful? Stick to golf, Michelle.

I feel sorry for her. If my parents *****d me like this, I'd probably pull a Macualy Calkin (whatever his name is) and 'divorce' them... otherwise I'd probably end up a mall security dude, ala Gary Coleman. Where was I going with this? Oh yea... Don't do school and stay in drugs. (Mr.T circa 1984)

I totally agree. I'm all for a girl who can hold her own, but if you aren't even making the freakin' cut...

Eric always points out on the Podcast, maybe she should start winning some LPGA tourneys before she tries to make a name for herself on the PGA Tour. But we all know what's going to happen. One day she'll make the cut, and the media will blow up with headlines about how she, and all women, can play golf as good as men. Needless to say she'll probably come in bottom 10 on Sunday, but nevertheless the tirades will begin about how archaic the "sexism" in golf is. The PGA Tour and all male golfers will be criticized as they were during the Hootie fiasco a few years ago. This will no doubt continue for a few weeks/months and then die down when Wie or any other woman from the LPGA fails to make a cut again. *sigh* I'm not looking forward to it, but you know it's coming...

The difference, of course is that the PGA of America is the Professional Golfers Association and it says nothing about men. While the LPGA is specifically charted as an association of LADY golfers.

Bury me with a golf glove in my pocket - just in case!

i think that what wie is capable of is impressive and deserves attention. however, i also believe that she needs to fine tune her swing and mental game on the LPGA tour. you see sorenstam playing against men and all, but she was considered as the top player during that time. she had proven herself that she can dominate her gender's circuit, and the next step was to play against men. i believe wie can get to that point, but everyone is making her think that her potential is the same thing as attaining the accomplishments everyone knows she's capable of.

I think it's lame that it's her "potential" that is making her a star. She has great potential, but needs to work on it. The work is where the potential becomes talent. As my Grandpa used to remind me, "A pile of potential isn't worth a damn."
