I always hate winter because I feel like all the work I put in during the season is leaving me.  I finally convinced my fiance to let me take down the futon in the extra bedroom so I could rig this up(See below).  It's not the greatest but it's better than nothing.  However, I think this type of practice is different than a normal range session since you don't get to see the full ball flight.  Here are some of the things I work on with this:

1.  Most winters I spend my time just taking dry swings.  This is okay, but it's a completely different feeling for me just swinging a club than it is trying to hit a ball.  I've always had a decent swing and made solid contact but my swing never feels as smooth when I'm hitting a ball as it does when I'm just swinging.  This is one of the things I hope to level out.

2.  My alignment has been an issue.  Not necessarily problems aligning myself with the target, but withmy feet, shoulders, and swing line not being squared up with each other.  I have some foam balls with a big red circle on it that helps me concentrate on square and solid contact.  That, combined with some homemade "tour sticks" is helping me work on that.

Obviously that only gets me so far, and I'm trying to think of other ways to make my winter practice more productive, so if anyone has any suggestions on practice tips when hitting into a net that would be great.

Yeah, I got some balls that have foam outside with a plastic center so you get a solid feel.

That looks really nice!

Sadly, our basement ceiling is too low to build something like that. But I put in a small mat where I can work on Basic and Aquired Motion.

Conenctrating on solid contact is the main goal here.

I also have a 10 feet putting mat in the living room, and everyday put at least 20-30 minutes (but more often longer than this). Concentrating on lineup and solid stroke.
