Right now im struggling with consistent ball striking (chunk, shank, thin) so can anybody take a view at my swing and see if you can notice any problems?

watched your dtl.  good right arm connection with torso.

If your misses are thins and chunks, you aren't getting your swing bottom forward enough.

Move the swing bottom forward with the following:

Move hips further forward prior to impact.

Maintain the right wrist hinge longer.

Extend more with the legs and spine into impact.

On the video, your right leg and torso are sagging into impact.  Try extending more with your spine and legs into impact.  Also, a face on view would help diagnose problems with thins/chunks.

One thing I notice is that your club axis to spine axis at address is much different than the club-to-spine orientation at impact (pause video right at impact to see this). At impact your club is about 100 deg to the spine (which is more ideal) versus about 130 at address. Because you are changing this angle so drasticlly, you are having to make additional body corrections. If you look at most pros, their club-to-spine angle is about 90-100 deg at address. You may want to stand in from the of mirror until you get the feel for what 90-100 deg feels like, and then try and take this to the range...

I am no pro....I like your set up..good spine angle.  Cant help but think " is that club too short?'  Face looks open to me.....place your thumbnail on the top of your head at set up.....notice how much you dip down at the bottom.  I feel your head cant be held still ...it has to move some..but yours  seems alittle extreme.  If you move that much up and down ...would seem that some will chunk...some will top.  Swing....dont go after it..smooth speed...you cant muscle it.  You are tall enough, athletic enough and strong enough that you should be able to generate more speed with less effort.  The ending is classic high school kid behavior !  (you are not as good as you think you are...and if you ARE that good...you dont behave like that..the shot you got was the shot you made, you got what you deserved...get over it)

I think a set-up change would help.  Looks to me like the knees are too flexed and your balancing on the heels of your feet.  Lose some flex in your knees and it's going to feel like your bent over more with your torso.  Will also be less of a strain to view the ball.  Check out how Tiger's knee flex is less than yours and how that effects his balance.

    • Day 107 - More pitching practice, playing around with trajectory.
    • Yea Club Rat said it. I really enjoyed the Senator and the Judge, then over to Grand National where there a couple good courses plus a fun par 3. The one I do play whenever I visit there is Ross Bridge; something about this course that is just good fun. I hope to play more of the courses in the future, but tomorrow is promised to no one, so hope is the key word. Have Fun, iSank

    • Eh. He broke ONE of Tiger's records. Youngest to be ranked #1 in AJGA. It didn't help that Tiger's birthday is in late December, or that Tiger didn't play many AJGA events before he was 15. Did he do any of these things? • Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
