why can't I hit after I practice driver?

After hitting like 30 balls using a driver; when I go back to hit my irons I can't seem to hit them as I  regularly do. Is this normal???

Why not hit driver, iron, wedge at the range. Why teach your muscles to just hit driver driver driver when in reality you wouldn't do that on the course. Just an idea it could work out well.

don't be a machine at the range. practice with purpose. as mentioned switch it up, since in reality and on course, you'd never hit driver driver unless you're bubba hitting into 18 for a try at eagle. seriously tho, practice as you play, hard work is done on the range, playing the round is the place for allowing your hard work to come through.

I had the same problem, after hitting driver at the range consecutively, I'd struggle with my irons.  I deal with it three ways, 1) As others already suggested, avoid hitting driver consecutively since it's not typically something you'd do while playing unless you hit OOB.  2)  If I decide to focus on swinging driver, I warm up with irons, but don't swing irons after driver.  3)  If I do hit irons after driver, I always use a pitching wedge or sand wedge to get my swing back.

it absolutly makes sense.  A modern 460cc driver has a ginormous sweetspot and and it's tee'd up 2" in the air...a monkey with a crayon can hit that sucker.  A properly struck iron takes a golf swing and some knowlege.

Spread your practice across various club lengths and lofts.

I start out with my wedges, then 6I, then hybrid and then 3W. Then I work back down again until I'm happy I'm hitting well across each club length.
