Which stand up bag's legs ALWAYS work?

Hi all.

I'm looking for a stand up style bag that is light weight, has compartments that include a drink compartment that is like a mini cooler, a compartment for my range finder, and a compartment that will hold a roll of club face tape, and balls and tees. Most importantly, I want to make sure I get one that has legs that continue to work over time. If you have recommendations I appreciate it.

I've owned Ping bags my entire golfing career (20ish years?). Usually everything else wears out before the leg mechanism fails, so I'll keep them for 5-6 years. I just replaced my last Ping bag with a Sun Mountain (Four 5, red/black) bag and I've heard nothing but great things about their quality. And from what some people tell me, Sun Mountain was the first bag to offer legs, so I suppose that's good for something eh? The Four 5 has a little bit of a cooler pouch and a bunch of pockets, including a pocket for your watch and other scratch-able stuff lined with felt.

I have had a few stand bags over the years, Callaway, Ping and Titliest.

i changed at the end of last year to a Sasquatch, has to be the best stand bag I have ever owned, not only is it great quality but has a compartment for everything you would ever need on the golf course.

Ive never had a problem with the legs on my Mizuno bag not working.

i had a problem with ogio once. legs were popping out form the top of the bag sometimes. had the bag since I started playing golf. had it for almost 2 years and couldnt take the legs anymore. went over to roger dunn to get a new bag. worker asked me why i was getting a new bag and I explained it to him. he told me to bring in the bag and i could get a new one from ogio for free. shocked, I went to my car and brought it in. 3 days later, ogio gives me a new ogio grom bag. which I love!! can't complain. ogio has warrenty for a year I believe, but I had the bag for almost 2 and they still replaced it no charge. I know you want a bag which the legs always work. and that is pretty much any bag. just thought I tell my story since it relates. I will always go ogio cause it is a great golf bag. and they treated me great by giving me a new golf bag. no questions asked. yay

No problems with my Titleist bag's legs. I've wanted a Ping bag but I'm weary since the couple guys I know that use their stand bags both have bent legs.

I used an Ogio for a couple of years and its legs broke up many times. Luckily I have a friend in local golf store so he got me a pair of legs a few times. (note to self: don't ever buy an Ogio) Now I have this Titleist X86 lightweight bag, which is superb. The legs feel good and it's a quality bag in every possible way.

Everyone that is giving a postive review for a Titleist bag is just supporting Sun Mountain because they make all of the Titleist bags...if you look closely they are very similar.

Anyway to the OP, I have owned quite a few stand bags over the years (all of the ones mentioned so far on this thread) and the best performing bag that I have owned is the SM Four 5...if you buy a 2011 model it will even work well when on a golf cart...good luck with whatever you decide.

My Ping Hoofer is probably 10 - 12 years old. Bag is still flawless. Legs work perfectly. I keep wanting to replace it with a Titleist or Sun Mountain. I just can't get myself to spend money that is not necessary since the current bag works just fine.

I have a Sun Mountain MPB and love it.  It has all the compartments I need along with a cooler compartment.  The legs work flawlessly and you have the option of zipping them up of you choose to use a cart.

My TaylorMade R7 Stand Bag from 2008 hasn't let me down yet.  Legs always work and it has the cooler compartment for your drinks.
