I think he should take the trip. There will always be tournaments to play in. Australia is such a great opportunity why not go?

I do think he is a little bit of attention hound. "Oh everyone what should I do, should I go to Australia?" He knows what everyone is going to say. I don't like him sort of passively bragging about what he is doing.

Agreed. This whole thing is wrapped in good feelings and positive vibes but little of substance. I'm close to just boycotting the thing.

The more I follow this the more vomit I throw up in my mouth. My eyeballs have rolled so much, they're almost out of my sockets.

Someone do a Jon Stewart style segment on the guy on how almost farcical this has become.

If you donate at this point you have to know what you are getting. He takes 3-4 trips a year.

Maybe someone ought to point out to him that he could play in more tournaments if he stopped paying for all those trips. I'm not buying the money excuse anymore with this information since it only costs about $100 to enter a tournament.

Whatever you guys posted to the Facebook page is long gone by now. Most recent post to his page was on June 27th, about his birthday. Care to summarize it here for me?

There's a Dan Plan page or group.

His personal page has little on it.

Actually he didn't even shoot a real round. The snippet above in non-bold is describing a "virtual" round he played on the range... strictly visualizing the course.

We went over how important visualization is and since I have a two-day tournament at Eastmo this coming weekend I decided to begin my new practice qwith a visualization exercise.  It went great and I shot a 38 on the front 9 and a 36 on the back.  I pictured every single hole and shot, went through my pre-shot routine and executed.  I also spent time between shots just as I would out there and the entire round actually took me a couple of hours despite just making 74 shots.  It was great and by the 4th “hole” I could really see and feel what it was going to be like this weekend.

So if you think one round means nothing, how about one visualized round on the range? Is there something that is less than nothing?

A visualized round to go with a visualized paycheck he'll never earn on the PGA Tour

Ah, I thought that was just a regular page. Regardless, that's the place I was talking about where he must've deleted the comments mentioned above from, because the most recent available to view were people wishing him a happy birthday on the 27th.

That page was updated yesterday.

I think you may be confused. I was referring to the comments other members said they posted to the page. I wasn't talking about any of the posts Dan himself made on the page. Sorry about that.

Dan made a comment to Dan.

I thought it was definitely to the point.

GHIN's first name is Dan.

I'm not sure where you saw this on the page, but looking on my mobile phone I can't find it for the life of me.

EDIT: Stupid me, found it. I looked just about everywhere except where it was located.

I promise on here somewhere I say I hope he does well and I support him lol. Tides are changing now

This thread is confusing to me. I can not for the life if me figure out why people would be so negative about the "10,000 hour experiment".
I certainly have not read everything that Dan has written but I have enjoyed watching from a distance. He found a way to play a lot of golf and through his blogging, speaking and sponsors he has found a way to support his golf. Where is the problem here?
