i think its a follow through problem?

The last couple months ive had quite a blading problem. When my club makes contact with the ball, right away it just lifts up and doesnt continue it descending blow making for a lot of thin shots.

When i take a half swing i am fine and hit the ball with great contact but whenever its a full swing i hit it thin about 70 percent of the time and i can just feel that i start my follow through right after i hit the ball and i never take my divot

What are some things i can do to help fix this?

With out viewing your swing, my best guess is that your loosing your tush line, that is your waist is comming towards the ball during impact. You might be able to get away with this some of the time, but if your waist gets closer that means your legs will straighten and you wil lift up a bit, enough to cause those type of shots.

Try to keep your waist feeling like its tucking behind you, so your left hip will go around and up a bit in the downswing. Practice againts a wall, when you swing your arms to the top your right side of the butt should touch the wall, then back to center, then left.

It sounds to me like your arms and clubhead are accelerating quicker and beating the body back to impact. Once you start the clubhead in motion, it travels fast. (This happens when you're trying to hit the ball harder on full swings). On half swings, golfers are not swinging as hard and the body and club relationship stay together................. During your full swing, relax the arms but speed up your lower body. This will keep the clubhead in a better relationship with the body back to impact. Practice and good luck.
