But the debate apparently didn't end there. Mickelson and Singh, the 2000 Masters winners, were in the champions locker room during the rain delay when they had it out. "After sitting in the locker [room] for a while, I heard Vijay talking to other players about it and I confronted him," Mickelson said. Singh left the course before he could be questioned.

6mm and 8mm, whatever. I obviously haven't heard either side of the story, but if it's accurate that Vijay was talking about Phil behind his back, regardless of whether the spikes are actually too long (or Phil drags his feet), that's lame.

I think one rules official stating that his spikes were the correct size was enough. Vijay can be very petty...unfortunately, it wasn't Phil's day at all...3 Majors to go for Mickelson. Better luck next time, Phil!

did anyone read the section in golfweek about it. they said they heard phil say, "you want to throw the first punch" or something to that nature. not saying its true, but it is in golfweek.

The article i read said that VIJAY said "who's going to throw the first punch",not Phil Apperently Ernie els who's very matey with Vijay put his money on the big Fijian if things ever do go further.....
