The new Mizuno MP-67's feel like butter to me. You would swear they are cavity backs. The ball flight seems a little higher than my old MP-37's but I'm gonna re-shaft them and see if that helps.

Hey ezmoney5150. Please do let us know what happens when you reshaft your irons. Which shaft do you have now and which one you changing to?

Right now I have True Temper Dynamic Gold S300's. Although my buddy swears by the Rifle Flighted shafts. So I was thinking about trying those. I've always used True Temper even with my Pings. (I think the JZ shaft was made by True Temper).

So Far I've just clubbed up one with my distances, which hasn't hurt me. Instead of hitting my 8 iron to 150 yards like I did with my MP-37's I just hit an easy 7 iron. I'm one of those wacky tinkerers.

Cool. Please do let me know once you change it to rifle flighted. I am also a Dynamic Gold person but I am curious about the rifle flighted shafts. I did try with my friend's rifle shaft 6.0 (not flighted) and it really did feel SOFT at impact but I did feel that the balance of the shaft was different from the DG S300. Kind of felt lighter?? if that is the correct description although the weight of the shaft was pretty much at par with the DGs. Anyway please do let me know because I am also planning to make a new purchase of MP60 with rifle flighted as well. Thanks.

Some guys HAVE to have the forged irons. I go with what works and could care how they look. My Ping G5's are great irons if all you care about it landing the ball on the green, over and over and over (and they have a nice "feel" when you hit them right)....

Don't you think "forged" is a bit overrated? Oh, I'm using Callaway Fusion by the way. According to Callaway, Fusion is neither cast nor forged. They claimed it to be fusion. So, is it cast or forged? I'm confused.

Anyway, Fusion has very crisp sound and soft feel at impact if you hit it right, which I'm sure you will most of the time. It sounds crispier and better than my friend's Titleist 690CB. Hmm...?

I'm swinging an older set of TopFlite Tour irons. Callaway is coming to my local course on March 22nd, and I'm highly considering the new x-20's. I'm feeling all giddy inside, I can't wait...................

I've been using the Adams Ideas since late 2004. They came with the 3 and 4 hybrid and I added the 2 and 5. I couldn't be happier with them. They're regular graphite and I've regripped them with the Golf Pride Decade grips the last couple of times. I've been thinking about updating them with one of the newer sets, but not yet. I'll go to the local golf expo next month and see how the new ones feel.

I've ticked Bridgestone, but strictly speaking I use Tourstage - which is a division of Bridgestone.

They are the z101 irons, forged for great feel. I've previously used Hogan FTX's which were also forged, both great irons but the z101s take the crown for me because they are easier to hit through the set whilst still maintaining that "player's" club look that I love so much.

If anyone is in the marker for new irons I would thoroughly recommend Bridgestone and Tourstage.

Well, I'm not. But I heard they're better than the previous version. Good enough to be the Golf Digest editor's choice.

I hit the Callaway X-forged, Mizuno MP 60's and the T/M R& TP's and the R7 TP's were the most forgiving and most comfortable by far.

Question; - What does the "MINI-GOLFER" below te members names mean?

    • Yea Club Rat said it. I really enjoyed the Senator and the Judge, then over to Grand National where there a couple good courses plus a fun par 3. The one I do play whenever I visit there is Ross Bridge; something about this course that is just good fun. I hope to play more of the courses in the future, but tomorrow is promised to no one, so hope is the key word. Have Fun, iSank

    • Eh. He broke ONE of Tiger's records. Youngest to be ranked #1 in AJGA. It didn't help that Tiger's birthday is in late December, or that Tiger didn't play many AJGA events before he was 15. Did he do any of these things? • Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
    • Just stumbled onto the article.  Totally random and thought it might be interested to hear other thoughts. maybe I am tired of all the LIV crap and  this just caught my attention.
