You know how you get the urge to swing the sticks but you have nowhere to go? So you get the brilliant idea to swing in the house/apartment/condo/work(you get the picture!) I live on the 8th floor and almost all of my veritcal blinds have been chipped up and/or broken! My pops had a real ball mixed in with his whiffle balls one time, good thing that he didn't shank it like he had been otherwise he would have broken the brand new TV in the living. He only knock the ball through the sheet rock in the living room.Oops!

I haven't swung a club inside (other than a putter), but I have been swinging a medicine ball lately. My sister, who uses a medicine ball for non-golf related exercise purposes, was surprised that I had one. I showed her how I swing it, I lost my grip, and the ball went and just about hit one of her friends.

Ceilings for me, however, my father has taken chunks out of walls repeatedly because swinging inside causes his hands to sweat profusly (sp?).

Hitting wiffle balls, I have broken a clock twice, and the picture just below it once. I only chip and putt real balls upstairs. But I do half swings in my basement into a net (would do full swings if the ceilings were as high as upstairs). A have shanked a few of these shots and have ALMOST sent the ball screaming in my wife's computer screen! That would be one bad scene.

So I'm not alone!!

SWMBO was watching TV in the family room, and I was watching my swing in the big mirror over her chest of drawers in the bedroom. I'd been at it for a while, and my hands were getting kind of sweaty, and I lost my grip.

After a loud crash, I look up and the 5 iron is hanging from the hole in the bedroom ceiling. Drywall dust in my hair, I stick my head out of the bedroom and say: "No need to come in here!! Everything's fine!!"

My wife never let me forget it.

funny to see i am not the only one, we lived in a condo and in my office i have high ceilings, i used to take the mattres off of my futon and hit full shots into it. I had put a hole in the wall (which i did fix, a chip in one of my old guitars, and scuffs in the wall. we no longer live there needless to say and our new house has low ceilings. I now only chip and putt indoors!!!!!

I actually didn't break something completly, but I did put a 5 iron size hole in my wall which my grandfather had to come over and patch up.

Uuhh, I think breaking a hole in the wall constitutes "breaking something"!

I just bought the new golf simulator for the PS2 and put a gash in my ceiling becasue I was trying to swing my clubs full on in the living room, thought the ceiling was higher than it actually is.
